CBS Article: Away from the sidelines, Nebraska's Pelini isn't that dragon

When a detractor asks me what exactly I like about Bo as coach this article is my new answer. Why would I want Bo to be a lifer here? How great is he as a person? Seriously? If only half of the things in this article alone were true hes still an awesome person. If he could get to 12 wins a year and you could package that with.the great victories in humanity he chalks up on a daily basis, we would need to be discussing where to put his statue, not whether he needs to be retained.

Unfortunately being a good person doesnt move you up in the rankings so here we ar. Bo, you are a a hell of a humanitarium and I respect the hell out of that. I truly hope you get us to another level this year not just for the sake of our program. But for the sake of people realizing how truly great human being you are.

Same ref crew too, Greg Burke and co.

Your only allowed to be a lunatic on the sidelines if your winning championships. Look at Nick Saban. To me, they both have a passion for this game, and they wear their emotions on their sleeve when they are on the sideline. I don't like the Iowa mantra, but it don't think it defines Bo as a person like a lot of anit-Bo people like to think.

Great read too!

Its also quite obvious Bo doesn't want to put a good name out there for himself, and someone has to be behind it. Someone has to put in a full time position to help Bo look better to the public. Who gives a sh#t if its Bo, or someone else? The fact is, there is a side of Bo no one knows about that is being shown. Simply put, some people just can't accept it.

Bo Pelini ‏@BoPelini 5s Unbelievable atmosphere at PBA and a great team win @HuskerHoops #GBR

Ok who in the f#*k was behind this? Who in the hell told Bo to tweet this?
Hope the same person reminds him he just saw a team play as hard as it could for the whole game and play great defense, and what those two things a capable of. With a coach that's has embraced the fans and media from day 1. With a far bigger reclamation project.

Your fingers are going to be worn to stumps if you spend the next six months replying negatively to every positive post around here.

I never understood this sentiment. That behavior is either right or wrong, there's no well, it's o.k. if you win enough.

Paterno harbored a pedophile, but at least he won championships. .....

Yep because our football players have NEVER done that for Bo? Get the f#*k out of here man. Who gives a f#*k if Bo doesn't "embrace" the media and fans from day 1? The Miles and Bo comparison is getting old and pathetic.

Oh yeah, and on your comment about these players not playing like that for Bo, should I remind you of those double deficit games that we came back and won. Dice it up and section it all you want, but those kids did JUST that and won!
