2. I think the defense is going to be good. All-world? Nah. We were decent at the end of the season, and we were so bad for so long it might have seemed like we were all-world, we weren't.

5. Ehh, let's start playing sound football before we worry about a conference title, let alone a national title.

No offense, 'brotha, but it's lists like these that explain why we are stuck in mediocrity and why so many Husker fans accept mediocrity. Love your comment "recruiting turning around next year." Ridiculous. Next year will never get here. Also, we can't waste a unique players like Randy Gregory waiting for next year. Also, are we to believe that the Huskers will fall short because "Eichorst is remaining silent." Unbelievable what Husker fans have come to accept as obstacles.

It still boggles my mind how we always seemed to have one and not the other.

Great defense. Crap offense. Great offense. Crap defense. Mediocre defense, mediocre offense. Crap special teams.

I'd still say, after this season, we are going to say forget that 2010 offense, I'll take the 2014 model. A few games into this season when Armstrong finds that comfort level and we start hitting on all cylinders, we will be an offense that can do it all. Not limited like we were with Taylor.
