"These aren't Bo Pelini's Cornhuskers, folks."

Not only did Bo never do anything of substance against Wisconsin, when did Pelini's Huskers ever crush ranked teams? 2010 Missouri, 2011 Michigan State, that's...it.

Thankfully for Bo, the 2012 CCG isn't included, as that Wisconsin team wasn't ranked.

Actually, let's narrow the numbers down further to primetime matchups on the road.

2008 v #5 Oklahoma - L 28-62

2009 v #24 Missouri (at the time of ranking) - W 27-12

2010 v #19 Texas A&M - L 6-9

1-5, or 0-5 if you only go by end of season rankings.

My God. I've done my share of responding to this troll but at some point we all need to pretend he doesn't exist.
I've had Cardinal Moony husker blocked for a long time but still get to read half his stuff since Patrick gets quoted so often

Pelinis huskers would have likely crushed that delapidated wisky team. It's unfortunate that people want to keep bringing him up though.

I can understand badger fans loving our new system though.
Pelini's Huskers never crushed Wisconsin, ever. Even the 7-5 Wisconsin team that they squeaked by earlier in the year absolutely murdered the Huskers in Indy. And this Wisconsin team is better than that one.
I don't believe this Wisconsin team is better than that one. That Wisconsin team lost a ton of close games that year and was better on offense. We'll see how it plays out, but I could see Wisconsin dropping at least 2 more games this year.
See, you have to be able to recognize when your contrarian statements depend on fantastical assumptions.

Even the most radical of claims becomes believable once you radically alter your axioms.

It's hard to pretend both the blocked trolls in this thread don't exist when people keep responding to them by quoting them. But it's sometimes fun to read their butthurt, pelini-loving crap. If you're a fan of deconstructing political spin, it's pretty interesting.

The last time a Pelini Husker team faced a deflated Badger team, they lost 70-31. Would you like a link?
So Riley has more "quality losses" than Pelini?
Your response doesn't really make sense.
But yeah, sadly, Riley has two much higher quality losses over Wisconsin compared to Bo's 3 plunkers. If we are really pretending it's a competition on who lost better to Wisconsin.
"Two much higher quality losses over" a team.

Double speak at it's finest.

Pelini's Huskers would have folded under like a wet noodle after Wiscy's 1st td.

What's this Wisconsin team done loss wise?

This Wisconsin team is a mirage. They've pulled off wins over bad teams and benefit from close losses to supposedly good ones. And that was before key injuries.

We can revisit the topic in a few months. I don't see them finishing strong.

NU lost to a less talented team, but on their home turf. It's a disappointing but not devastating loss. But, as in many of the "closer than should have been" wins this season, there are red flags regarding this staff's approach to playing championship football.

Except there are several counter examples disproving this old saw, including, if I recall, the last game he coached as a Husker.
