Game of Thrones - Please no spoilers from ASOIAF

I told my God-fearing mother I want to watch a couple episodes of GOT with her but it has a lot of sword violence and lots of boobs.

She said she would watch it with me Saturday if I go to church with her Sunday.

Ha ha! I like her style. But to be honest, I'd much rather go to church with my mom than watch GoT with her.

Is "sword violence" a euphemism for what Renley and Lorus do together?

*sorry if I misspelled their names*

I don't think she'll be as bothered by the gay as by the beheadings and arm severings and gushing blood and rape

You're probably right even though I've had to turn away from a few of those gay sex scenes. Gives me the willies. I wish my mom was still around to watch GoT. I'm sure she'd like it.

We could probably have a whole topic about that. Straight guys tend to be giant wimps when it comes to gay guys and the menstrual cycle.

You'll get no argument from me.

And strangely, we don't have any problem with lesbians or blood & guts. Go figure.

Re-watching the show now. I still HATE the part when Tyrion saves everyone's a$$ and then gets no credit or thanks. Can't wait to see *spoiler* kill Cersei.

I don't remember (in the books or the show), has Nymeria been seen other than in dreams? What has she done?

They should make a prequel to GOT once this show ends. Kinda like Better Call Saul

Pretty sure that HBO has already began talks. There are two story lines they could go with. Robert's Rebellion which they already have license to do from the original deal with George RR Martin. The other is Dunk and Egg. That one would have to be licensed and I'm assuming GRRM would charge a premium knowing how successful the first deal was for HBO. Kind of like your second contract with NFL being your payday contract.
Dunk and Egg would be good, but a season or two of Robert's Rebellion would be absolutely stellar.

Everything You Need to Know About Azor Ahai, the Game of Thrones Prophecy That Could Save Westeros

HBO released the first series of official photos for Game of Thrones season seven this week. They didn’t spoil much, but there was one reveal that hints at a major plot development next season. We’re talking, of course, about Azor Ahai.

As io9 reported earlier this week, a season seven photo of Samwell and Gilly at the Citadel shows Gilly reading the legend of Azor Ahai, a mythical hero whose resurrection was prophesied by Melisandre. According to a Reddit post, the passage is ripped almost verbatim from George R.R. Martin’s series compendium, A World of Ice and Fire.

I know the popular opinion is that it's Jon, but that article makes a compelling case for Dany.
