After reading all of the comments here about OSU and Urban Meyer, seems to me that many have forgotten that we currently have a head coach who, while in college, hid in a closet while a teammate beat the hell out of his girl friend, and this same coach recently invited a former Husker back to talk to the football team; a former player was who convicted of sexual assault while playing football for the Huskers.

I only bring this up because it seems that all of this rightous  indignation seem a little over the top.
You're an idiot

We will not beat OSU this season. Whether we have a bye week or not. It might be the difference between losing by 21 as opposed to losing by 28-35 but we will still get beat handily. We need the extra bowl prep very badly since we didnt get those extra practices last year. And with how hard our schedule is, we need all 12 games to get bowl eligible. If you have the opportunity to schedule a game, you NEED to do it. But like I said earlier, im guessing they wont try very hard and will only have 11 games. And if we only win 5, Moos will have a lot of pissed off people on his hands.

This kind of negativity is why your mom drinks.

Not really negative considering they have outscored us 102-3 the last two years with essentially a lot of the same starters on our team. We have a ways to go to catch up and year 1 is not the year IMO. If we do win I will go shot to shot with my mom and she has no liver so Im f#&%ed.

The accuracy doesn't change the pessimism.

But show me any mainstream news source who as late in the 2016 cycle as 5 p.m. on election night predicted a Trump victory. They were virtually guaranteeing a Clinton win and discounting even the possibility of a Trump win.

You're so full of s#!t dude. Predictions aren't the same thing as fact claims, first of all. Second of all, most news sources don't 'predict' who's going to win an election - they report on it. If they have personalities or opinion pieces that make predictions, fine, but the original statement was that POLLS stated Trump would not be elected. Polls don't make statements like that, unless they're polls of people's opinions on whether Americans think that Trump will win the election. Either way, the original statement was wrong, you've diverted it into a completely different point, and your different point is still misguided and maddeningly simple-minded coming from someone who has proven himself to be able to engage in critical thinking.

Go ahead and watch any 15 minute section of CNN's election coverage. Guess what you won't see? A statement that Trump will lose, Trump will win, Hilary will lose, or Hilary will win. I just watched 15 minutes of it randomly for the hell of it, and there were no opinions or predictions shared of any kind.

Yawn. Everyone was drawing conclusions based on the polls, which is after all what they are for. Find me any mainstream news source that predicted Trump would win. Hell...find me one that predicted it would even be very close.

I just bought a new pair of headphones and I don't understand why the ear cups rotate 90 degrees. What does this feature do for me?
So you can wear the head strap in different positions.

I was actually saying that Montez was not the player that should be hit dirty  :dunno  If somebody read that otherwise, their comprehension skills should be questioned.

But shouldn’t our defense always go after opposing quarterbacks and hit them mercilessly and hard? Isn’t that football? Not sure why this is causing a problem.
There was no confusion. The reason I brought you up is Knappy was claiming i was the only one advocating for anyone to get hurt. Simply sharing with him you did as well, but we both said it should be the Defensive player who caused the injury and not Montez. We are both saying the exact same thing.

Not fully sure why Slappy is so grouchy today.

This doesn’t affect my thoughts at all. There are a few things I think I know;

1- Frost is the best guy and maybe the only guy that can get this deal turned around.

2- Correcting 15 years of culture destruction, especially these last 4 years, is not and never was going to be a quick or easy job.

3- His job is not in jeopardy, this year or next year, no matter the results, so it is a complete waste of energy to get too wound up over disappointing results before 2020.

4- We still have some serious bumps in the road to experience.

4- We’ll get there when we get there. Like Scott, I know where this thing is headed. No doubt in my mind.

All we can do as fans is to grin and bear it until things do start to take off. Hope for the best and expect the worst would still seem prudent. I plan to stay engaged and positive so I am there to witness the transformation because it will be something to see.

Whoever gave this the sad skeptical eyes emoji without having the balls to put their name to it and comment is a douchebag.
