Thats cool... I never take this battling stuff personally. In fact, I love it... When people start with the insults, they take it to a new level where they will NEVER win because I wont quit. LOL!!

Respectfully, on the heart issue, part of it could be on the players. The other part could be the inablility of the coaches to inspire the players. And the players thus not believing in themselves and the coaches. Clester Johnson also said the players don't have heart. But he at the very least blamed much of it on the coaches for not inspiring the players. For not getting the players prepared for each game. Could it be that heart goes along with confidence and believing in yourself?

All I know is if this team doesn't get it's act together, especially on the defensive side, we may have a losing record this year, such as 5-7. Yikes!!!

I bet Wistrom and those guys would get their azzes chewed bad by McBride, and look how they turned out! I think we are coddling this team too much. just my honest opinion.

Thats the idea!! I think you are right, the coaches should do more to develop heart. but the kids have got to have something to develop, and I am just not seeing it on the field. I hope they prove me wrong, you dont know how badly I want the D to make me eat every word, and I hope they do!

A big problem is that Coz has his backer blitz off tackle, he should consider run blitzes in the gaps instead. Also, our D-line plays too high which makes me think coaching sucks and they are tired. We need to say forget it and play 8 in the box by bringing Ruud up to the line on the strong side, have the DE play heads up on the tackle to shoot the gap and then bring up our best safety in run support. He would play Weak side and Dillard and Octavien would be in the middle. That is our best bet I think.

i've been to my share of games and i don't ever recall it saying on the ticket that "you are hereby intitled to make irrational comments and overreact just because a player made a comment on the radio".... or should i double check my stub from last week?

the lack of intensity is due to the coaches. Cosgrove took the same players that pelini fired up week in and week out and that were in the top 10 in the country in turnover ratio and turned 'em into a unit that allowed 70 points agianst texas tech a year later. Don't forget the RUN and the PASS are both hurting us right now. Wake Forest exploited both, USC Ran all over us, and Ball St. aired it out......all done easily! So you really can't put too many people in to defend the run because of our corners, who are suspect to be burnt frequently!

Were you calling for andre jones to be kicked off the team after his comments before the usc game last year? people make mistakes especially in high school and college. As long as nobody gets assaulted raped or murdered you should give them a free pass.

I've never said I am better than anyone... so pipe down junior. What I will say from my experiences from going to games is the decline of heart on the field. There was a fire in the eyes of the kids when they would come out of that tunnel, now they look like a bunch of scared sheep with the deer in the headlights stare.

This aint high shcool and there are no 2nd chances at this level... if that was the case, we would get another shot at USC and that just aint gonna happen.
