It looks to me like it's supposed to be a zone read against the right DT.  But Jurgens doesn't realize the backside LB is on a blitz.  If he picks up that LB it looks like there will be some room.

@Farms Instead of behind the receiver, making him have to do a spin move before he can turn upfield. God those drove me batty last year. At least that's one thing that seems to have improved this year.

I noticed this as it happened.  Not to pick on McCaffrey but you have to wonder if a less-experienced QB notices this pre-snap.

Good quick throw but the accuracy is lacking.

McCaffrey just so hard to tackle in space.  There are two guys who are watching him the whole time, are not blocked and don't even get close.

This appears to be a designed give as there isn't any DL unblocked.

It does look like if he goes outside one more gap we would have gotten a down block on the LB that made the tackle.

Good to see the speed have a chance to show.  Might have really gotten interesting if Jaimes get a bit more of a block.

Thx for the links to Chaz, Mavric...I don’t use the tweeters so it’s nice to see...

I guess the  hope is, with a Senior QB next year and a solid rJR to back him up, all these skill guys as Soph and Jrs, along w a more seasoned OL, these plays will be clicking like a Swiss watch instead of a dull Swiss Army knife (and not pullin the spoon out of it when we need the blade) 

there is some hope.

If you pointing out the QB eligibility next year, Adrian will be a junior while Luke will still be a redshirt freshman. This year isn’t counting towards the eligibility timeline.
