The goal is to strike fear in the hearts of future voters. Republicans like DeSantis are unconcerned if a certain policy is "illegal", they can do whatever they want with impunity.
Honestly, the sooner Red states split off and form their own country, the better.

Wonder if this resulted in a permanent switch of parties to the good guys for these 20 ... not confident of the American public's ability to vote in their own best interest, but you'd think it would be a pretty easy decision for these folks.
