***The Nebraska Defense - Blackshirts 2023***

Lenhardt has been great- especially against Colorado. Nice to see a freshman provide that type of contribution. I don't feel like we have had a ton of production from DL/OL freshman in a while.

Lenhardt comes in and makes more plays in one game than Robinson has his entire career.
I know there’s a general appreciation for being bulky in all fanbases but I think it was pretty clear that Lenhardt moved so much better and more fluid at 6’3” 250lbs than Ty at 6’6” 310lbs.

When was the last time we had 8 sacks in 1 game vs a p5 opponent?

I'm not a "what if" guy, be he's right.  1st half defense played incredible and shut down Colorado.  The three first half turnovers eliminated three drives for possible points.  It could have been the Huskers up10-0 going into halftime, or up14-3 or 21-7......  we will never know.

Had those three drives put a few points on the board and/or altered field position, the Defense might have kept rolling with momentum.  And Colorado might have remained frustrated all 2nd half.

Point is, without those turnovers killing 3 possessions, we will never know what may have happened.  And it's unfortunate and it sucks.  But it also shows that we do have some good schemes and talent on both sides of the ball.  It's not everyone turned the ball over.
