Which version of RINO are you suggesting we have? The new version of RINO are the responsible folks interested in actually governing effectively. They've been disowned by the current head of the party though. Like you said, be careful about making this thread political; but if we voters actually elect responsible conservatives and responsible liberals, we'd be amazed at how much smoother everything goes.Trev has made unpopular decisions over the past few decades and has typically elevated himself each move forward.

Not going to go down politics more than this, but this is a faux “conservative” state with do-nothing-rub-elbow RINOs and some whack liberals. Maybe I’m cherry picking some and I’m sure there are other aspects to consider - and as others have stated - this oughta wake up not just the leaders but the residents of Nebraska too.
Blaming “both sides” is really a disingenuous way of opting out of a tougher discussion. One that highlights how the GOP goose-steps so far right that moderate Democrats are “commies” and moderate Republicans are now “RINOs”. Anything that runs counter to their agenda is considered “woke” to where the word has little meaning any longer. This is why politics has no place in academia. Teach the facts about governments and strengths and weaknesses of all types from authoritarian to democratic republics but keep the personal opinions and beliefs out of the subject matter. Somehow the ultra left and extreme right can't get this through their thick heads and they both push their agenda's and indoctrinations. Enforce curriculum while also enforcing institutional indoctrination. I mean seriously, did the world learn nothing from the mistakes leading up to the 2nd great war?? Indoctrination of any type is purely disgusting be it political, religious, biological, or any other.. Just stop with indoctrination principles and a lot of the differences suddenly becomes indifference to/with one another and real change/advances occur.
A. Both sides of the political spectrum are problems for the country.Blaming “both sides” is really a disingenuous way of opting out of a tougher discussion. You have moderate professors trying to bring discussion from both spectrums into the classroom, but the minute a conservative is “forced” to listen to something counter to their dogma, it becomes too much of a burden and it’s labeled as “woke”, when the reality is that in order to develop critical thinking skills, one has to be exposed to ideas they may not agree with, but they still need to know about.
While there are a handful of extreme liberals out there, they certainly don’t have DNC by the short and curlys like the Evangelical and Extremist/White Supremacist factions have of the GOP. It’s nowhere close to the same or similar level of influence.
Again, elections have consequences, and voting for lackeys of Pillen and Ricketts is (shock of all shocks) going to be bad for the university. Voting for Pillen or Ricketts straight up is bad for the university. They’re anti-education and have proven it time and again.
At this point, if anyone claims to be a Husker fan, claim to support the University, and voted for any of them, they’re a damn hypocrite.
Bulls***. Elections have consequences and electing candidates that belong to an anti-education party does not help the university.A. Both sides of the political spectrum are problems for the country.
B. This discussion about the athletic department and University at-large does not have to devolve into deciding who is at fault because of what color ties or bows officials wear.
Maybe if people would quit being cowards about the subject…but then they’d have to admit they voted for the problem impacting the university, and that’s obviously a bridge too far.man you really can't help yourself huh victor?
Your logic is flawed. By your assumptions above, you can't be a fan of America if you didn't vote for the guys with blue ties, right? Mods have removed your posts several times over the past few days because you keep steering the conversation towards politics and ignoring the pretty clear rules on what is allowed in these threads. There is another forum within this site where you can blabber on about your politics and rants.Bulls***. This *IS* a partisan issue—maybe if people weren’t voting for these people, we wouldn’t be in this position in the first place. We even have someone saying moderate President candidates are too “woke” for Pillen to get behind and he already threatened funding.
So like it or not, it is a political issue. And again, anyone that voted for these people and claim to be a Husker fan and support the University need to figure out if they truly are/do, because with the current state of the GOP, you can’t vote GOP and support the University.
LOL, when you vote for people who actively are attempting to sabotage the University and place people in positions of power to do the same, and you vote for them, you’re part of the problem. Full stop.Your logic is flawed. By your assumptions above, you can't be a fan of America if you didn't vote for the guys with blue ties, right? And it’s hilarious that the people saying “ThIss iSNt a PoLiTIcal ISSuE” are more than likely the ones that voted for the people harming the University and don’t want politics to be part of the discussion because it highlights how anti-education one side of this discussion truly is.Like it or not, this topic most definitely involves politics. That's become very clear and I'm sure will continue to.

LOL, sorry, I can't help but laugh at adults who use the phrase "Full stop" as if it solidifies their point in some way.LOL, when you vote for people who actively are attempting to sabotage the University and place people in positions of power to do the same, and you vote for them, you’re part of the problem.
