What did we learn Rutgers edition

I have a lot of complaints and concerns about our Special Teams coach & Offensive Coordinator...however...

We're 5-1!!!

Nebraska is 5-1. With 6 games to get bowl eligible.

Fixing the special teams and offense play calling will be addressed in time, but for right now soak in the win Cornhusker fans!

A win is a win is a win...and we're 1-win away from a bowl game.

I learned that all those defending Satterfield last week won’t be defending him this week. Move him to analyst, he’s good at play design.

I still feel the same that I’ve felt since  the start of the year. There’s no reason we can’t be in every game on our schedule, except maybe Ohio State. That said, we’ve played them close with worst teams recently. Not saying it’ll happen, but there isn’t any team on our schedule that is heads and toes better than us, except for Ohio State. They all have their flaws, just like we do.

1.  The D came up with big plays when they needed to

2.  Raiola really struggled the entire game.  I am not sure why but he could never get into a rhythm.

3.  Foley needs fired as special teams coach

4.  This team should be able to keep most games close from here on out except OSU where I think they will get crushed.

Careful with that last one. People will laugh. I think this as well. The competition what it is so far, we are 5-1 and have a pretty stellar defense. That will keep us in almost every game from here on out.

Let the complaining about a win commence.
eh, rutgers is not a good football team.

If our offense plays like it did today I'd venture to say we win 1 maybe 2 games the rest of the way.  Raiola is a freshman qb, he'll be fine- there are glaring gaps schematically that have been present all year and will get exposed when we face an offense with a pulse and sound special teams units.

rutgers offense is subpar.  Our lackluster offense coupled with our trash special teams is a bad recipe for poor field position.  we got lucky today because of the opponent- if we show up in a similar fashion we'll lose by 3 plus scores to indiana, osu, usc, and iowa

A lot of teams in the Big Ten aren’t good football teams, and a lot of them are on our schedule still. Our offense will be fine.

The world is just one big playground for James WIlliams.

Wins are wins and are hard to come by these days.  And it gets the team one step away from a goal that has not been achieved in forever, a bowl

However, I don't think it is out of line to point out, voice concerns, call out things that can definitely prevent achieving post season play.  There have been issues all year, and instances of red flags that foreshadowed things as well.  They have two weeks to not get things perfectly ironed out, but get their s#!t in gear to not have these issues cost them a game they are positioned to win.

Getting your best players on the field is a start.  Coaching soul searching(you know figure out what the f#&% they think they are as a team, and how to get their guys in that position) should also be an emphasis.
