My thing….i don’t care where the offense is on the field. 4th and 1 or 4th and 2. I’d go for it every single time with Jeudy and Robinson blocking for Dowdle!!! I have no idea why this isn’t used more than just goal line. It’s just insane to me. They have that kind of weapon to get the basically guaranteed first down and we don’t utilize it!!!  :bang

I lost confidence tonight. I thought the same thing about that Carter end around. EJ was running well going straight at the D and we get cute. The Nebraska way is to abandon what works - doesn’t matter who the OC is.

This.  In a nutshell.  We stop ourselves.  Team know keep it close and we will self sabotage.  It's who we are.  All the money to throw at coaches and staff and this is what we get....Riley, Frost and Rhule....

Think the Eagles only "tush push" on the goal line....Or Buffalo only has Josh Allen QB sneak at the goal line.....Nope.  Play to win....That's all.  

 
We finished the season 1-5 after starting 5-1.  No matter what, we finished on a slide.  I would rather start 1-5 and finish 5-1, trending up instead of trending down.

 
We can't seem to ever get out of our way on either offense or defense.  We seem to always find ways to lose instead of finding ways to muster out a win.  This is the culture, this is the last thing that needs to be changed and rectified before this program will ever find 7 or 8 wins.

you are never going to get an aggressive step on the throat oc with rhule. 3 games in and he already found a way to neuter dana holgorsen. its always going to be a play not to lose offense under rhule. its not in his nature. 

 
Honest question, does Dana want to stay on here at NU?  Does he want to be associated with the statistically improbable impossible ways to lose team that is NU?  Dudes making $4.8 million those year and next and then $2.9 million 2026 and 2027.  Maybe he sees this is more than just a quick rebuild.  Who knows.  I liked his stuff last week at Wisky, but tonite seemed like Satt was back in the booth (at least in the 2nd half).  I know players dropped the passes, hit the wrong hole and missed blocks, but coaches need to put them in a position to perform those basic football fundamentals.... At leat we are bowling this year.

Then Rhule needs to go.  It's that simple.  OR he needs to sit down and let Dana be the OC in it's entirety.  Rhule can just run around and give great speeches and cool quotes, but leave the winning to winners.  Dana is 92-69 as a HC....Rhule is 47-43 in college.  Throw in the NFL he is 54-70.....I'm sick of the "play not to lose" crap.  Only thing it prevents is winning.

rhule and the athleric director need to have a come to jesus moment about what rhule wants this team to be moving forward.
