Why? You have to have a winner and loser unless you are gonna say the winner governs for 51% of the time and the loser 49% of the time. Congressional elections are that way…100% to the winner, Senate elections are that 100% to then winner, Presidential elections are also that way….100% to the winner, just in a different format.Like, if you were beamed here from a different planet and had zero knowledge of how the elections actually work mechanically, but were introduced to the concept of voting to select leaders, and results representing the will of the people, it would make zero sense to you why one little square of land would have a vote that ended 50.1% to 49.9%, with 100% of the points going to the winner
