Trump’s Accomplishments…at levels never seen before (2025 version)

i am constantly accidentally throwing the Nazi salute twice in a row like elon did.  doesn't everyone?
I don't think it's as uncommon or diabolical as some on the left would have us believe.

I've seen a few clips over the weekend of prominent Democrats previously having done very similar movements, including Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren. They really didn't seem all that substantially different from what Elon did, and that's not defending Elon - it was a dumbass thing to do - but it feels to me like it is very much being blown way overboard because of who he is and the party he supports.

Also, the Anti-Defamation League, who most commonly and publicly admonishes anti-Semitic situations, came out and said they didn't think it was a Nazi salute and was instead just an 'awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm.'

I’m not sure if you are white or black, but if you are white, should you be responsible for the sins of your past grandparents/great grandparents as it refers to racism?  Should every non-racist person feel guilt for the actions or thoughts of relatives who they may never have met or known?   Should they feel guilt for the racist thoughts of non-relatives they don’t even know?

People and Governments should make sure those atrocities should not be forgotten, should be taught about, and should make sure they don’t ever happen again.  But why should someone born in 2002 feel guilty for what happened in 1930’s/1940’s?   Do you not understand this concept???
Tread lightly lest you get reprimanded by your party of choice for proposing the teaching of critical race theory. I thought Desantis was against that???

This is nowhere close to your attitude when food prices were up under Biden. It was constantly told to you that it's because of things out of his control, you said...."well, he's the one in office".  So.....now, you seem to have the opposite attitude now that Trump is in.
Nope.  I’m giving the same attitude you all did, “to be fair”.  To give it a few years to play out ya know.  The $.05 increase in Queso was a big deal to DrStrangelove.

I’m very interested to see how many people give you the Archy treatment for this post of which I have expressed the same sentiment as you.   Good case study here

And remember the very next day when Musk retweeted the ADL's opinion along with the jokes about the Holocaust that was quickly admonished by the ADL?

In a vacuum, Musk's gesture would be innocent and most likely accidental.  But when it happens in the environment of his the political party (that seems to not mind the presence of actual Nazis), his speaking appearances, and his online presence, it seems to say a lot more than "I'm so enthused!"

Worst case: Musk actually has Nazi beliefs.

Best case: Musk made an innocent gesture and followed it up with a "you stupid libs are so offended by everything".  Why wouldn't conservatives also find jokes about the Holocaust in a political setting to be offensive?  Hmmm....

What did they say after he joked about the holocaust directly after? They were simping for the richest man in the world. It was a dog whistle

No, it is the correct take and like I said it should only apply to HS kids who live at home and are NOT helping their family with bills.

5 years ago prices were pretty much totally fine and normal, the only thing that changed was the insane idea that a HS kid needs 18 dollars an hour so that he can fill up his new Bronco that his parents bought him.

And trust me, people should try and make as much money as they can, period.  I do not blame anyone for trying to make more.

I do blame morons that pushed for kids making 16 dollars an hour and morons that pay them that much but the kids should try and get all they can!

I mean this with no disrespect, but your anecdotal takes often miss the larger point by a good margin.

There's a good case to be made for regional and fast-food adjustments to the minimum wage, but 75% of the employees at Wal-Mart, Target, and Hy-Vee are over 20 and presumably paying rent. More than a few trying to raise their own kids on that salary. Given the low-wage turnover, these are often the only available jobs. Rich kids getting $18/hour at jobs they don't want or need isn't really driving this issue.

Also, record profits for many of these same businesses under the cover of inflation. Morons aren't the problem here.

I can attest to the fact that there are many places where those walmart workers could get other jobs that pay more.

I agree Musk continuing to be a dumbass after the fact is germane, particularly given the disappointing associations between the Republican party and Nazis.

While I agree, I was replying to a comment that was isolated specifically to the gesture and ironically asking why everyone else doesn't do it. Everybody knows the gesture was stupid, but largely seems unfortunate and unintentional. IMO it really only becomes relevant once we step outside the vacuum of the movement itself and take all the other factors that you mentioned into account.
