2024-25 Season Notes

Did we ever get any word on why he's disappeared?
He's awkward & provides very little on either end of the floor?  They brought him in for rebounding & rim protection.  He's averaging 3.6 boards & 0.4 blocks per game in 15 minutes per game.  The only thing he does well is win the opening tip.

I realize he hasn't brought a lot to the table.  Even just the only making four shots that aren't dunks is not very impressive.

I just didn't know if anyone had ever asked Fred about it or not.

I haven't seen anything, but I'd assume it is because he hasn't brought much to the table including hustle.  Every time he falls down it takes him 10+ seconds to get back up.

Saw on the OWH that he didn't play against Wisconsin because of "matchups".

You clearly did not get the memo, homie.

You may only talk badly about Rollie Worster.  In every game thread, at any moment, for whatever reason, until he is gone.  Despite his lines, dribbling or what-not.

(We know it is okay to be critical - just not full-blown psychotic about it)

That way, it can go beyond venting and merge into the category of "Seeee !!!  I told you he was bad !!!  I knew it !!!"   ;)

Worster sucks  :D

He's okay for a Rec League guy or Church league player, especially at 6'3 or 6'4.  And the beard helps to give that toughness look. Essential for guys that cannot shoot, dunk or penetrate.

I like him because he's a Husker.  But I don't think he is better than DII ballers and point guards.  He just doesn't add much offensively.  I think I would beat him in a game of 21 when I was even 35.  Not that long ago.  And definitely in my 20's.  He's not quick, he doesn't create shots, he can't drain shots from outside as a threat.  What in the world would anyone be intimidated by him or fear he will beat you?  SMh....  But, he is a nice player to have for 10-15 minutes a game in a rotation.  Just find someone else to start and get more minutes and be a threat against teams we play.  That would help the team a lot.

And before anyone quotes defensive stats and ratings to show how good he is or someone being marginal or above, basketball is about scoring points.  A lot of points.  A s#!t load of points.  Creating for others and scoring.  Up and down the court.  I mean, This isn't soccer. :)

Ok, we have a 5 game stretch of very winnable games. Maryland should be the toughest, but it’s at home. Maybe we can start getting that mojo back again.

Please don’t go to Washington and lay an egg against the worst team in the conference.

Huskers currently right behind Iowa in the conference standings and play them the last game of the regular season.

He had 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1 steal and 1 assist before fouling out the first time we played.

The team was winning games.  The team goes on a 6 game slump where they literally play like crap.  Fred comes out and says they had team meetings and he found out what was going on on the team causing the slump and they addressed it.  They then go and beat two ranked teams with one on the road.

We really will never know what was the issue, but I would love to know.  What the heck did the players allow to creep into the team mojo that caused them to fall apart like that....but it could be fixed and the team moves on and wins?
