One of my favorite movies too. Kind of cheesy with all that lovey-dovey mooshy crap, but the air battles were cool.

Oh and just so this remains on topic, I heard the Air Boss was going to be the new HC and Viper was gonna be the DC with Iceman as the OC.

Veering WAY off topic for a second - did anyone else think there were major gay overtones in that movie? Like when Iceman asked Maverick if he "needed any help," and when he said no Ice said, "Haven't you figured it out yet?" Ice was totally coming on to Maverick there, I'm telling you guys.

I thought that whole movie was a gay dude's dream come true in a lot of ways. And there's nothing wrong with that, just so we're clear.

But the fighter scenes were pretty cool, and you can't deny Kelly McGillis is a hooooottie.

So to veer back towards topic - will Mav come back to help train the Best of the Best? He'd make a great Tight Ends coach. :)

I thought it brought the thing "full circle." :)

I think Goose would have been the best "wide receivers" coach, but since he's gone it'll have to be Hollywood. I think that's pretty self-explanatory.
