New Concessions Menu and Pricing

They had announced on twitter that they will have local brews at the stadium. This is probably just the 'default' main concession, with different vendors and specialty things in other places.

Yeah, Like I said, have a "local brew tent" or something like that.

I am not a Creighton fan but they use to have an "Old School Beer Tent" area. Old Style, Hamms, PBR, maybe a few more.

Anyway, you would get two 12 ouncers, poured into a big cup, for 5 dollars. It was great.

So just have a local beer tent and let fans flock to if if they want.

That makes sense. I guess the local venues I’ve been to have a generic menu like this at the main concession areas and the actual good beer is dispensed at specialty stations.

Generally I think the prices are better than they could’ve been. Runza, Vals, dogs and soda seem to be in line or even cheaper than similar venues. I love good beer so I’m not at all inclined to spend $11 or $12 on donkey piss.
 
Does anyone know if there be hawkers in the stands still. They announced that they were ending the kids program as the new company said all of their employees or contractors have to be 18+. Wasn’t sure if they will still be hawkers who are 18+ selling stuff.

If you're looking for traditional concessions food, such as Runza, Valentino's, Wimmer's Fairbury Red Hot Dogs, the "GBR Classics" locations are scattered throughout the stadium.

Alcohol options​

Yes, alcohol is coming to Memorial Stadium.
For national beers, there will be Bud Light, Modelo, Busch Light, Michelob Ultra, Coors Light and Miller Lite available.

The two local beers on display were Zipline's Dear Ol' Nebraska Brew and a newly announced option from Kros Strain called Cornhusker Crusher — a citrus wheat ale.
 
Can't have a concessions thread without me having wonderful memories of the 60's and the older guys in our section who smelled of whiskey and those great cigars they chomped on during the game. It all smelled like football to me as a kid.

My dad would buy me a package of salted in the shell peanuts or maybe popcorn or even a hot dog. Great memories.

I got this at the volleyball match. It's OK. It's pre-made and sits in a warmer, so by the time you get it, it's way WAY not fresh. The flavor was OK. I hadn't eaten for several hours, so that may have made it taste better.

This is just elotes, a common street food in Mexico. It's very good out of a cart where it's made to order. If it's served anything like the Mac & Cheese, it's been pre-made and has sat under a warmer for at least a couple of hours before it's served to you. Likely it'll be edible. I'd be willing to try it.
