Akron: What did we learn?

I learned Luke Lindenmeyer proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the post game prayer. She said yes. So congrats to those 2.

I also learned we have a lot of backups who played like the outcome of the game was still on the line. The defense even played like preserving the shutout was important to them. That was great to see all around.

This offensive scheme we're running this season is a much better fit for Raiola's skills and the skill players we have at our disposal now.

I kind of question our actual physicality in the run game. But if we can up that level just a little bit, I think we'll be getting teams off-balance this season. Defenses are going to have to pick what they're going to defend, and if they choose to defend the run, we have the playbook to burn you downfield.

The overall intensity level that Rhule has brought to the program is just leaps and bounds higher than it has been since Pelini. I feel like that's one element that people aren't talking about. This team seems to really care about not losing games, but also being loose enough to not lose.

That's the part that Frost couldn't get a handle on - being loose enough when it got tough.

The balance between "loose" and "intense" is kind of starting to fall into place.

There are still lots of question marks on our defensive front seven, though.

BTW, if you’re watching games tonight, we should probably be worried about Michigan State more than Michigan at this point, especially since they have a running QB and decent running game.

Michigan looks like a .500 program this year. Oklahoma is not that great.

Yeaaah, I still don't wanna watch our run fits against this.

Well my Dr. said he will not be getting me any Skyrizi, I guess I don’t have the required ailments. Snoop Dogg and I will not be attending any swap meets together as result now

If Dylan continues to struggle I feel pretty good about having Lateef ready to take over when needed. He looked good to me for a freshman seeing his first actions and brings an added dimension with his legs.

Mozee is going to be special.

This years crop of receivers is a big upgrade. Hope Hunter sticks around after this season.

He did put too much sauce on that one throw, needs to work on touch passes. Not worried, though.

What do you mean struggle? The first 2 games he has done everything the coaches have wanted from him and he hasn't struggled at all this season so the only scenario I see Lateef coming in over Dylan is injury or to give a defense a different look. Dylan as the starter gives our offense the best chance to win period.
