I"m not sure how the center can be flagged for lining up in the neutral zone.

Not being able to get this is still disappointing. But, it's a little more understandable when you see this.

Also, I would think there would be an audible if the QB sees this defensive lineup to get something outside.

I didn't like the lack of success/execution on the tush push, but I didn't like the 'jump over the top of the pile' call a play or two before even more than that. I hated it when Satt was doing it and can't believe Holgo kept it. It's not 1997 anymore.

Only 11 teams in the country have attempted more punt returns than we have, which helps.

We are only #30 in average return.
We are #14 in total return yards.

But as far as leading the country, we have less than half the return yards that South Carolina does. They have returned three for TDs already.

Can the center be offsides if their head is in front of the ball? I saw a pic from the Eagles game a few nights ago that looked like Cam's helmet was in front of the ball.

I think you're probably right, but it seems like the rulebook wording is to allow

1. The Center's hand to be in the neutral zone
2. The Center to be allowed to move forward while snapping

and it's not intended to let the Center have his entire head and shoulders over the ball. Benkert was complaining about the Eagles version on twitter, but interestingly the NFL doesn't have any exemption wording while college does.

• Includes wording exempting the "snapper," but the exemption is when the ball is put in play (snapped) and so I think he could be technically encroaching between touching the ball and snapping it.

The NFL rulebook doesn't have wording exempting the Center, which might be why Benkert is mad about it and maybe it's just different in college. But there has to be at least some understanding of an exemption for his hand/arm.

I don't think their helmet is supposed to be in front of the ball. But I'm not sure I've ever seen it enforced.

I did hear that they ran out of some pizza though!

As I have been cooking in restaurants for nearly twenty years I would like to see the facilities they have to pull off cooking all that pizza for game day.
