HCU: What. Did. We. Learn

It’s in a what did we learn thread-not a backup QB thread. When the graphic was shared, I learned how that Amart’s numbers were really good and could have been better for reasons out of his control.
Well aware but the message you quoted was discussing our backup situation- which was started by someone sharing they learned we have the best situation in years. Just saying your comment was a bit random. Carry on...

I'm a big 49er and Husker fan, and I didn't know until last week that the Niners had signed AMart to the practice squad, and that with Brock Purdy's injury Adrian is one Mac Jones sack away from getting meaningful NFL playing time.

I was watching and hoping he got a chance to get in the game. Sounds like Brock will be back for next week so unlikely he gets another shot.

As time goes on, I have developed a crush on AM and will fit him into any conversation.

I think Holgorsen is quietly putting together a scheme & playbook that is creating a much higher ceiling for our offensive potential than we had with Satterfield.

I see our base formation as being 11 man personnel, where we've got 3 wideouts. And then we're relatively frequently going 4 guys wide. We're creating space in the passing game.

We are just not going to win important games with our defense this year. Raiola is going to have to push the ball downfield with his big arm, and it looks like he's making that "year one to year two" jump that he needed to make.

Just get the damn ball to Barney and EJ out in space against Michigan, for the love.

As a Husker fan, yes. As a Niners fan, maybe not so much. Kyle Shanahan runs perhaps the most playbook intensive and timing-driven scheme in the NFL and Martinez could have been walking into a debacle. Shanahan did say a couple nice things about him.

Dude was one of Nebraska's truest warriors, really laid it all out on the line. I will always be a huge fan, and very pissed at how we wasted his efforts.

He had a really impressive freshman year and things went downhill from there. Hard to put a finger on what happened; coaching, personnel, mojo or all of the above. I think he was the same mixed bag on a better Kansas State team, but it's impressive how he's getting at least some traction in the NFL, when more heralded college QBs are not.

Rocco is a monster.

If Teddy stays healthy I honestly think our O-line is really good.

As talented as I think EJ is, what we're really missing is a back that's a little bit more physical. I know you've had similar observations, Mav.

It will be interesting to see what we look like tomorrow. We've seen so little challenge the last two weeks - and so little time with the starters in the game - that it's tough to get a read on this season.
