What Did We Learn? - Michigan

Are there other tackles? Michigan's edge pressure went around those two statues for most of the game.
Speaking of tackles, defensively, can we have someone teach how to wrap up and tackle?

Raiola still completed 30 of 40 passes while being knocked around in the pocket because the O-line can't block a rolling water cooler.
Pretty sure that's the first game I've watched in a long time where there were 0 holding penalties on either side.

Shocking stat I heard this week.

The team that came out of the tunnel first, gave up 0 sacks, or holding penalties that season.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Another program changing opportunity kicked to the curb due to poor line play and a myriad of unforced mental errors.

Reminded me a lot of results from past few coaching regimes.

EJ got a grand total of five carries in the second half. For a whopping 10 yards.

Like I said, OL was bad but the OC wasn't helping them out.
Oh my gosh! 🤦‍♂️ There are so many stats which you can review to see how a game went, but that little bit of information reveals so much.

I would bet that when the "Did we really get beat that bad?" graphic is released, this will be one of the games on the left where the team that won is actually less successful overall than the team that lost.
It will close. If Raiola didn't have -40+ yards because of sacks, the total offensive yard number are fairly even. We did better in the passing game, and the did better in the running game.
