What did we learn?- Michigan State

Just watched the game highlights. In the 1st quarter, Raiola could step up in the pocket. After that the middle just collapsed. He had no time to look for a secondary receiver. There was 1 sack that was on Dylan.

Haven't had a winning season in the league since HC Mike Riley was in charge and running the show.

These same fans that hate and cannot stand Riley, also turn their noses up to a great win today. Trailing 21-14. And finishing it off strong. Keeping all goals reachable.

50 losses since 2016 and you would think all Nebraska fans would be thrilled and exited and happy to win this type of game. Or any B1G game for that matter.

It makes me sick to my stomach to hurr the BS coming from some of these Cornhusker fans after a win. Nothing is ever good enough - and yall got to look in the mirror about that. Don't put that evil on the team. Learn to become a grateful, better fan instead.

There's always going to be a small but vocal portion of the fanbase who are just miserable c-words and are going to complain about everything no matter what.

I think we're also dealing with a relatively large subset of fans who are Scotch Frost loyalists, who are hoping and praying Rhule is as much of an abysmal failure for . . . whatever reason.

My advice is don't feed the trolls and just enjoy the rebuild, because it is trending in the right direction, no matter how much they try to tear it down at every turn.

This team would beat the custard out of any of the Scotch Frost Nebraska teams. The progress is real, and it was never going to be an instant turnaround.

Yes, but this has been a constant issue for us over the last 20 odd years.

He couldn't find several open recievers for lack of looking even when he had no significant pressure.

The section I was in was starting to boo him after not seeing a wide open reciever in the back of the endzone and tossing it to the TE for a loss.

You need have a few less drinks or go read a book on football 101. There is a primary receiver on every play. He had very few chances to get through his progression. Mich st. made an adjustment after the 1st quarter and took away the pocket. This is on Dom for not figuring this out. We have olineman here who have not developed! This is also on Dom!

Why is your first go to on EVERYTHING insulting someone’s intelligence? Everyone on Huskerboard already knows you’re brilliant.

Given you know everything, I would think you’d use a more constructive way to start a disagreement.

It is also on Dana for not callng quick slants or some screens to help out but DR did have enough time to get rid of the ball on some of those sacks.
 
I learned that our Head Coach seems in it to the hilt. I watched him again. He is honestly full-bore, 100% living for this team, this program. And that can carry him through rough times. What I am hoping is that the rough times are now, and that he's going to succeed in pulling us all through it all and out into the sunlight of relevance and dominance.

We can see his challenges. The O-Line. The D. Maybe we've largely resolved the ST issues (think back). Is it correct right now to see him as picking away at the issues and working on them and taking care of them one by one as he should be doing?
 
Unlike the 2016 season being 4-1 today doesn’t seem like a fraud. Instead of watching a fourth quarter collapse, the exact opposite happened. Things feel different now. 0-0 heading into MD next week
