Come in and attack someone. Today it was a group, maybe you drop a take and then go after whoever takes the chum you spread.
You can have an opinion. Theres a 1,000 ways to post your opinion. You choose to be abrasive. You’re 100% a troll.
Why, because you are still angry & your expectations are too high like many others
At this point "I just hope both teams have fun" might still be considered excessively lofty expectations."Don't get blown out by a middle-tier Big Ten team when you're favored by a touchdown" doesn't seem like very high expectations... Should fans just be grateful to finish in 11th/12th place in the conference every year and shut up?
There's no way an un-injured Dylan Raiola gets benched this season. That would be like buying him a ticket to the portal without knowing if Lateef is the answer. Really risky move for a coach.
Full disclosure: I didn't watch the game. I went to watch Cal play North Carolina on a beautiful fall night, then planned to watch the Nebraska game when I got home. The post-game autopsy convinced me not to. I just don't need that in my life right now.
But Raiola going 17-25 for 177 yards doesn't sound that bad, and Emmet had a serviceable per carry average, so was it just about the sacks? Was the OL really an abomination or was it also Raiola holding the ball too long and not being particularly elusive? No fumbles or interceptions, so we're talking strictly ineffectiveness of the offense?
Yes. The lost yardage on the sacks absolutely kill drives for this team because when NU gets behind the sticks and in obvious passing downs, it gets even worse for the O-line.so was it just about the sacks? I got to thinking about this yesterday. Both Zac Taylor and Dylan are/were talented QBs playing behind bad O lines. The difference is, Zac made quick decisions, got the ball out and would do it over and over again while getting hit almost immediately when throwing. Dylan can't or won't do that. So, he holds onto the ball and takes the sack getting hit anyway. I don't want either one of them to get hit. Our QB should be able to stand back there for a few seconds and get the ball of on most plays without getting hit. But, if you have a bad O line, you gotta be able to do something as a QB to still get the job done the best you can.Yes. Dylan just has to figure out how to throw the. All away or escape for 2-3 yards. At least the offense then has manageable distances for either a run or pass. And he needs to understand that even when he has time, he has to play with decisiveness and a sense of urgency. There are plenty of sacks where DR has lots of time and he just sits and sits and sits until the pressure finally gets too close and he can’t escape. DR has to bail sooner than someone like an AMart would have to cause he can’t escape like Adrian could
Great observations! I think part of the reason Dylan holds the ball longer is to try and give his playmakers opportunities to get open and/or holes to develop. He does need to recognize when a play is dead, but I admire his effort in trying to find opportunities. Makes you wonder how good he could truly be if he could enjoy sustainable pocket protection. I partially wanted Lateef to come in on Friday, just to avoid Dylan from getting hit too much.I got to thinking about this yesterday.
