I’d start thinking about a series each half with Lateef and some RPO’s. The OL play with DR’a slowness and inability to get rid of the ball is a continued recipe for disaster. 9 sacks by Minny?! Complete failure by the OL and QB.
He missed so many check downs yesterday. I actually don’t think it’s the completion %. I think he’s just always trying to look for the big play. It’s why he’s always on the ready for his falling pass and left hand throw. Cute for the highlight real but give me the non flashy qb who understands that a sack and losing yards is the second worst thing to happen as a qb besides an int or fumble.im sorry but you can't blame 9 sacks on the o-line. dylan needs to throw the effing ball away. not once did he even try to throw it away.
i'm starting to think he cares more about his completion % than winning.
this isn't the first game he has done this either
Systemic breakdown is right. I watch a lot of CFB. That was the worst combination of OL play I have seen this year and it was made worse by DR. When other teams are overwhelmed at OL you see the QB figure it out and adjust. Or you bring in extra protection. Not with us. It was just weird as typically when an OL is getting beat the other side has some dominant eraser type players. I can’t name one Minny defender like that. We just collectively failed in every aspect, systemic breakdown.Agree. Similar to what I posted in the other thread, this is a systemic breakdown, not necessarily a referendum on the individual talent levels of those involved.
He needs to trust his WRs to make plays. After re-watching today, I hate to say this, but, DR played terrible the entire game. He struggled with decisiveness, was slow with footwork, was rarely ready to throw (before sacks piled up), and I counted 4-5 sacks he caused/created himself.
The coverage was similar/same as Michigan (the blueprint). The staff needs to work with him because he really struggles when it's anything other then zone.
At some point DR needs to figure it out and start throwing to the spot in man-coverage. Unless he just doesn't trust the timing, the process or the possible outcome.
Until then, he will continue to squeeze the ball and get sacked frequently by every team. And they all know he's so slow footed and not very athletic.
To be honest, the O-Line wasn't as terrible as I thought they would have been. Especially without Rocco and Prich. For the most part there was time. Main thing lacking was a QBs decision making, decisiveness and urgency.
That's my point. Give your receivers a chance to make a 50/50 play.He needs to trust his WRs to make plays.
Absolutely classless comment. The sun did come up this morning. How many posters committed suicide last night?
so you are telling me uncle don isn't trying to get dylan killed.....dylan is trying to get uncle don fired? To be honest, the O-Line wasn't as terrible as I thought they would have been.
