Nebraska wins The Battle for NU! What did we learn????

I didn't get to watch the game. I am watching the replay. I decided to just add stuff as I see it.

I am in the 2nd quarter. Let's be clear. Does not matter the gender, these refs SUCK!

Forget the NBA, these refs obviously have money on the game. I know there are crappy calls still ahead.

Can our receivers learn to make their patterns to the sticks?

I learned I no longer understand Husker fans. The refs **** us all day long (totally blown review for the same wrong ball spot, NW catches a ball out of bounds-called complete, multiple other BS) but we maybe get by with one PI call and all some fans can do is b!^@h about the one we got away with. It’s like some people want our result to be consistent with their view of what the team is. GTFO.
smh

The refs were horrible. Not only is blatent holding now a thing, but the spotting was garbage. Rarely did the two sideline refs get within a yard of each other. It's like they split the difference each time. Killed a drive here and there. I've never heard the entire stadium chant, "These Refs Suck" in unison. I think the 80 year old guy to my right started the chant.

PSU lost to Northwestern. Huskers didn't. So PSU should be winnable, right. UCLA got stomped by Indiana like we did laat time we played. Cincy smashing Baylor. So who knows how it goes.

Just win. Two wins better than any Frost season the last 2 years.

Did Teddy Prochazka return after his knee buckled and he gave up the sack? Much better running game. Holes were there, but EJ bounced out nicely when backers plugged up the middle.

DR was pedestrian at QB but rushing and ST made up the difference. Overthrew a deep shot to a reciever with a step he should be able to make.

I am concerned if we do not improve OL play, dude might hit the portal. And seeing as he is RB1-3, that will be horrible for NU. lack of talent behind him or coaching at that spot? Simply put, EJ is a DUDE.

Maybe? As it stands, Emmett toughed out the competition at Nebraska to become the featured running back, where he is currently one of the Top 10 backs in the nation. Pretty good chance he's happy here.

Ha! I was at the game and that chant started near me as well!

That 4th down spot was bad and I'm still annoyed about it (the one where the NW guy bobbled it on 4th and 3). I tend to be pretty objective about those kinds of things and to me it was clear as day he did not have control of that ball at the sideline marker.

I still don't know what replay saw. The big screen showed him bobbling the ball and catching it 1/2 yard short. That was a big momentum swing.

If we can get to 8-4, this season is a pretty big success, IMO. But getting to that mark was much more doable had we beaten Minnesota.

UCLA should be a win if we can stop turning the ball over.

I don’t see us beating Iowa or USC if our offense keeps playing like it has the past two games.

But hopefully Ped State has given up and we can steal that one. 8-4 would be really great.

Just when it seemed NU continues to get called or no calls the opponents get at a near 100% rate, they benefit from a call & a no call when NW had an opportunity to take the lead.

Add Malcolm Simpson to the list of young players who look promising, but definitely need time in the weight room.

Speaking of which, I'll be surprised if Dawson Merritt stays inside & doesn't replace #15 @ Jack.

NU can't bury teams when they have control of the game, but they are winning these game more times than not this season. It might not be 3rd year Magic, but it's progress.
