Husker QB - TJ Lateef

Geno is no spring chicken now. But he ran for 500 yards in two separate seasons in college.

But I believe what @BaytownHusker was trying to refer to is Dana has struggled to produce a significant rushing offense without a dual-threat QB. He's been able to direct other offenses that are high-powered but did not get much from their running game.
This yes in a nutshell is what i was referring to..

I hope they all are positive but I kinda wish it was like a pitcher in baseball going into the 7th with a no hitter. Just leave him alone and let him focus

Of the 77 FBS RBs with at least 100 attempts, EJ is 15th in yards before contact.
And he is pretty amazing after contact - esp for a smallish guy. You think of big bruiser type guys running over people after contact; but EJ does it was his 'fancy dancing'.

With all due respect to Jaylyn Gramstad's 100% completion rate, I wonder if Hendrick Haarberg is getting some QB reps with the first unit this week.

Haarberg's style of play would actually be complimentary against UCLA. That said, I doubt we see him behind center other than a wildcat or two.

Holgorsen did talk about reps for Lateef, Gramstad, and "whoever else we use at quarterback this week" for what it's worth. The follow up question asked about Davila, but I could see a Haarberg package just to take some of the hits off of Lateef. Would be a fun time to pull out the Haarberg at QB - hand off to the real QB - who keeps it instead of handing it back off to EJ.

Is that the play where Haarberg lines us as quarterback and everyone in the stadium knows he's going to run? Or are you putting Haarberg and Lateef in the same backfield?

The latter, this one:

I actually don't think it gets us anything that couldn't be achieved through a normal play, but it would be entertaining.
