Truck Guys

If you get a 3.5L your wallet will personally punch you in the face. I am warning you do not get one of them. 2.7L or 5.0. 5.0 is probably what I would get if I had the money for them both and they were both low miles. But both of them are reliable.
Uggg, it is a 3.5L, why is that bad?

Timing chain issues, turbo failures (stepdad blew multiple on his truck), intercooler issues, & cam phaser issues. I would stay away. Do you have any mechanic friends? I would ask them their opinion on all three motors.

Out of all my friends I know the most about cars and I don't know anything about cars...

Do your research online. Maybe talk to a mechanic. Drive them all. Pick one for you buddy. I am a random guy on the internet. For all you know I could work in the circus.
Here is the issue, I hate test driving and I hate going to the dealership.

But I do love looking at them online and sending messages to the salesmen!

Test driving them shows the salesman that you are interested and may potentially lead to a better deal. I would try driving them all. Ask them what their favorite motor is and common issues. Again.. have them refer you to the service department. If you truly want to buy a truck you'll have to invest some time into getting the right one for you. If you don't like them or the vehicle then you can leave!

Chevy Colorado???

Anyone ever own one? Thoughts?
I had a GMC Canyon for a short period. It was great around town but I was used to the larger Yukons and Sierras so it felt a bit small for me. The problem I had with it though was power/quickness when I’d take it down 1-25 to Denver. I’m a fairly aggressive driver and I didn’t like it in stop/slow and go traffic. When the pack would speed back up, it wouldn’t quite keep up.

Fairly minor I know, but that and the smaller size is why I moved back to a Sierra. If I rarely left town I’d probably still have it.

I love the Sierra and Canyon, both look super great and I love how the Canyon rides.

Here is one that is a good deal but it does have some chipping of the paint!
Looks pretty clean but I did not see a pic of the paint chipping.
