****Penn State Game Day Thread****

Don't get too carried away with portal and Nil things with Indiana. I think that 15-20 players follewed him from James Madison. Cignetti can coach. He has been a winner, everywhere. A winner, not a .500 coach. We have settled for .500. We need to find .750.

So Blackledge just says Butler said Watson Trent would play a lot because he is decent against the run, and I probably may be off, but has he really played tonight other than this series????? I may have missed him, but that jersey is super white if he played much

How is WI up on Illinois? How did NW, UCLA and others beat PSU so easily
Because they got caught up in the mental aspect of sports. Lost the heartbreaker to Oregon and then lost some games by one score. Coach gets fired…..this is a great team. Don’t be fooled by the record. Took Oregon into OT. Took Indiana to the wire. They’re back playing like they should.

You are correct. 13 came and 7 started. Qb last year and this were transfer guys. He coached under Saban (anyone not successful who did). But like you said he is a winner. And has been. Like 135-56 (approx) career record. We fired .500 Riley.....500 Rhule....I like Rhule as CEO, but he needs strong supporting cast. Brought 12 coaches and staff with him as well. Wasn't like he reached back out to dudes he'd worked with at previous stops, but brought guys currently coaching with him.

Rhule missed on initial OC and we ended up with Satt and Doogie as WR coach. Another coach had the DUI and got gone. We got a long way to go. Further than I thought.

This makes the point others are pushing. He has been a winner. So why did others pass on him? We could've hired him, why didn't we? Missed opportunity. We have to capitalize on someone else' missed opportunity. It's that simple. Demand more from the people running the school, from the top on down.
Imagine if schools treated their leaders the way a small business treats a minimum wage employee who is 5 minutes late to work.
I've seen wage-slaves fock-up once after a year of true performance and get fired for it. If that level of "accountability" is okay for people making next to nothing, then it sure as hell can be applied to people making Zuckerbucks!

Read! Rhule has mentioned that he is finally getting enough NIL to compete. Here is the top 25 for 2025. Several Big 10 teams, but not NE.
“ For this NCAA study, any figures associated with NIL and booster support are estimated based on sources and assumptions regarding data since all collectives are privately-controlled and not forced to reveal dollar figures”

f you only saw the score. You did't need to see the disaster that lead up to it. It's the same if I go past a mangled body on the highway after a bad accident. I don't need to look at it to know what happened.

If we are comparing apples to apples, why would you come here when you can go to any SEC school, and be on ESPN every day in some kind of capacity. ACC and Big 12 are failing and falling fast. Big 10 better hope that Ohio St stays relevant. Bulk of the really good players are in the SEC right now. Indiana I feel like is a flash in the pan. Oregon is never going to be viable in a playoff scenario. I blame us, Missouri, Texas AM, Oklahoma, and Texas. Oregon and USC. These conference realignments have killed the game and its just getting started. With Texas and OU in the SEC, it almost has killed the Big 12, and the ACC is failing as well. Notre Dame being an independent is actually better off than anyone in these other conferences if your not in the SEC and Ohio St and Michigan. Congrats. We are carrying the bag of cash, but we sure are not winning and neither is college football right now. If we have to watch 6 SEC schools in the playoffs season, the game is over for everyone else. FACTS. This is why ESPN owns the rights to the SEC conference.
