QB Dayton Raiola

Throwing my .02 into the fire as a wild guess Dayton looking to start Day 1 next year somewhere, get valuable game experience, then hit transfer portal and come to NU with that experience. As oppose to redshirting at NU.

I'm not sure where he could go and be a Day 1 starter next year. Although he's talented, he needs to keep developing. One of the few schools I thought he might consider would be Hawaii. However, I still think he ends up playing for us at some point, hopefully sooner than later.

Sam Houston, Charlotte, Wazzu, Oregon State, Colorado, etc.. Don't look too much into it I was simply putting out a possibility of one and done.

with the way college football is now.....a farm system of smaller schools to train up your prospects sounds like a good idea. somewhat like coffeyville did back in the day for T.O.

The unfortunate part of this is that Nebraska would likely be one of the farm school training kids for the OSU, Georgia, Texas type schools.

Led Buford to the Georgia 6A title last night over Carrollton who was the ranked as the #1 HS team in the country going into the game. High chance Buford ends up in the top 2-3 nationally after the win.

Although I think Dayton ends up following Dylan, I believe Dayton is (was?) a diehard Husker fan. Would not shock me if he's in the portal down the line and, if cooler heads prevail with needs align, we kick the tires together. Unlikely, but I remember one of the talking heads saying that Dayton was silently committed to Nebraska since he was five years old. That affection doesn't just disappear, but it may take a different form down the road. Either way, I wish him the best wherever he lands.

Dayton isn’t coming here. Talent is marginal and his dad is annoying as crap. Bridge has been burned.

A lot of people are different when it comes to their kid. I coached my own kids. I always had someone else help with them. I did not trust my own judgment on stuff. Part of it was that I was around parents who thought their kids were D-1. I didn't want to be that guy.

Dom is just a typical sports parent, but his kid is super talented.
