I'm not sure where he could go and be a Day 1 starter next year. Although he's talented, he needs to keep developing. One of the few schools I thought he might consider would be Hawaii. However, I still think he ends up playing for us at some point, hopefully sooner than later.Throwing my .02 into the fire as a wild guess Dayton looking to start Day 1 next year somewhere, get valuable game experience, then hit transfer portal and come to NU with that experience. As oppose to redshirting at NU.
Sam Houston, Charlotte, Wazzu, Oregon State, Colorado, etc.. Don't look too much into it I was simply putting out a possibility of one and done.I'm not sure where he could go and be a Day 1 starter next year. with the way college football is now.....a farm system of smaller schools to train up your prospects sounds like a good idea. somewhat like coffeyville did back in the day for T.O.Throwing my .02 into the fire as a wild guess Dayton looking to start Day 1 next year somewhere, get valuable game experience, then hit transfer portal and come to NU with that experience. The unfortunate part of this is that Nebraska would likely be one of the farm school training kids for the OSU, Georgia, Texas type schools.with the way college football is now.....a farm system of smaller schools to train up your prospects sounds like a good idea. somewhat like coffeyville did back in the day for T.O.
Dayton isn’t coming here. Talent is marginal and his dad is annoying as crap. Bridge has been burned.Led Buford to the Georgia 6A title last night over Carrollton who was the ranked as the #1 HS team in the country going into the game. High chance Buford ends up in the top 2-3 nationally after the win.
Although I think Dayton ends up following Dylan, I believe Dayton is (was?) a diehard Husker fan. Would not shock me if he's in the portal down the line and, if cooler heads prevail with needs align, we kick the tires together. Unlikely, but I remember one of the talking heads saying that Dayton was silently committed to Nebraska since he was five years old. That affection doesn't just disappear, but it may take a different form down the road. Either way, I wish him the best wherever he lands.
Probably right, just hate to see a relationship evaporate with a good kid.Dayton isn’t coming here. Talent is marginal and his dad is annoying as crap. Bridge has been burned.
What is wrong with his dad? I thought he was one of Nebraska's biggest supporters or did I miss something that he said or did?Dayton isn’t coming here. Talent is marginal and his dad is annoying as crap. Bridge has been burned.
Yes father...Walking on to Oregon. Changing positions to be a tight end. All that hard work to be a qb for nothing.
