Depends on your expectations.
If you start him next season against that schedule, and you want Rhule to get fired instead of trodding through 3 more years of this, then by all means start TJ.
He'd be a really good QB at the G5 level, but if the goal is to compete for a bowl game next year, Nebraska needs a considerable upgrade.

It definitely depends on who else is out there and their willingness to consider us. I wouldn't be mad if Raiola ended up back here, but that seems like a long shot and I do think there will be other good options.
If it is TJ, he will be better next year than he looked against Penn State and Iowa. But I am not sold either, and no matter what we need another playable QB.

I don’t think we should ignore the fact that he goes into the offseason as the number 1 guy and all attention for development is on him rather than Raiola. Holgorsen gets to build a playbook FOR HIM, Wade gets the OL to take the next step, and we can see what Thomas will do with him without the distraction of Raiola.

I'd like Dylan back, but say we could get 2 good offensive lineman and 2 good defensive lineman for the same price, we'd be better off. I feel like Nebraska will struggle to win 6 games regardless of who the QB is next year.

Nope, not me. Give TJ the same support and treatment that DR had been given from the staff with the #1 practice reps through next year's first game, plus time working with WRs off season etc... And 3 cupcake games to start the year.... That kind of confidence could turn into something really good.
Backup plan would be at least talk to some portal QBs

No, I would say no one has given up on TJ, but rather he looked like a freshman when facing better competition. Not sure anyone is extremely comfortable based on those final games. Bringing in a top proven QB will be essential. Guys like Sorsby, Chiles, Lageway, Leavitt have all been mentioned by fans

He wasn't worth the distraction him and his family seem to like to be. Very talented and i have no doubt he'll play well where ever he ends up, but rhule cant let one player be bigger than the program. If he ends up at a big time program they won't let him get away acting like temu mahomes.
