If it wasn't for him we would have lost to Cincinnati. Definitely on the shorter side but he certainly can play with the big boys. I wonder if he transfers back to his home state.

Probably about the highlight of his career. He wasn't very good outside of that play. He was getting picked on by Cincy.

Was he really missed over the last 3/4 of the season? The secondary played fine w/o him. He would be nothing more than a depth piece next year. Probably need to grab a corner out of the portal w/ or w/o him on the team.
Probably not how I would've stated it, but yes, I want the program to aggressively take all possible advantages, including skirting any other rules that aren't really being enforced and finding ways around those that are.

I think Hartzog was better than some fans believe, but it's probably best for both parties to move on. He's always going to get picked on in the Big Ten with his lack of size, and I'm not sure what the secondary will look like next year but I imagine the Nickel role will be different and maybe not a perfect fit.
I wanted to see them play well (and whatever happened earlier in the drive, Hartzog's game-clinching INT was awesome), but this season was quite a downer for half of our 4 single-digit players in the secondary.

Exactly, high iq but lacks size.
And size is one thing you can't "develop or teach". Dude had heart no doubt. And a short memory. Wonder if coaching changes figured into this and hearing what next years scheme and vision looked like...

I know that MR said we have money to compete in NIL but what do you think our limit is on spending? Im asking bc there are a ton of positions of need for the team.

We need to dismiss anyone transferring unless they were so absolutely productive or integral to our scheme.
Wan’Dale is where I start. He tried hard here an we messed up what he was.
He went to Kentucky and caught 94 passes in one year and is enjoying a decent little pro career.
Everyone else is a dud bullet until they prove us otherwise like Wan’dale.
Even Raiola….lets see where he ends up and what he does. Whatever.
