BTW. Didn’t you guys like how Rhule imitated the greats by wearing his cap backwards? Tom, BobFather, The Bear, Saban and of course the great Vince L wore their hats backwards to inspire strength and confidence and discipline. To bad the team didn’t respond to his dynamic leadership.
 
until we get a phil knight type booster for NIL or they put a salary cap for NIL i'm not sure the coach really matters except in rare cases where you can get a cignetti type coach.

2 good years and the rest is a crap show with generational talent. crap line play, crap play calling and crap time management, id say more they won in spite of Zac than they did because of. Ive been a Bengals fan forever and follow pretty closely, husker fans clamoring over him because hes a former player is lame, didn't learn anything from Frost??

I would say you try and go after Mike Shanahan from Indiana who is their offensive coordinator or try to go after Glenn Schumann the defensive coordinator at Georgia. A coordinator from a winning program or a up and coming coach who has had constant success like a Brent Vigen.

The Bengals is famously a crap show franchise. It's supposed to be a crap show. If you can make it to back-to-back conference championships there, you can flat out coach.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to leave the NFL for college.

And there are probably some fair criticisms about how the they can't find a defense with both hands and a flashlight.

And it's probably fair to note that it's probably not all that hard to put together an offense when you have Burrow, Chase and Higgins.

But I'd still take him and let him try.

What generational talent? It takes more than a QB and a couple WR to win in the NFL, blame him for the lack of a defense sure. He has as many playoff wins as every other coach in Bengals history combined. He had 4 straight winning seasons before this one, including an AFC title game trip, an AFC championship and a SB trip. That would sound great to a lot of NFL fans, go ask the Raiders, Jets, Dolphins etc.

Their ownership is killing them. Hate it for Zac and Joe. No team has accomplished what Joe has and still lose as the Bengals have. Almost mathematically impossible.
 
Honest question: out of all the CFP teams that played yesterday and today (Miami, OSU, Oregon, tech, ole piss, Georgia, bama, Indy) if our current coaching staff was coaching any of these teams from the beginning of the season this year, do you think they still make the CFP?
 
Well teams would be smart to hire former Saban assistants. All final 4 are former assistants and Kirby Smart is not even one of them.
