Anthony Colandrea

My main concern is how often he runs and his size against stout BIG defenses.

Just funny to read these kinds of comments, because I saw a lot of commentary on here right after there was talk of Raiola transferring that what we really needed on offense to be successful down the road is a running QB.

Coleandra could be the most impactful QB we have had since Taylor Martinez. My main concern is how often he runs and his size against stout BIG defenses. We will need him to stay healthy and have a stud backup ready to go.

Since you didn't specify positive impact gotta disagree here. Tanner Lee was profoundly impactful, just not in a good way.

You are missing the point. I definitely want a mobile QB but he is barely 6 ft and 180 lbs. His body is going to get banged up as the BIG has the toughest defenses in the league, especially against the run. I definitely support getting a dual threat QB but we also need a backup ready to come in at anytime.

He was 175/180 coming out of high school. He is now showing 205.... Very close to Baker Mayfield measurables from college. I get the injury concerns but as we have all seen, big QBs get hurt too.

While you want to hope for a junior if your new inbound QB is really good so you can hopefully get two seasons out of him, I think taking someone like AC that's a senior with several seasons' worth of playing experience is really what we need for 2026 to keep this thing on the rails.

I honestly am pretty relieved that we got him.

Right, if you're going to run as a QB in the B1G you have to be smart and not take hits. That was the downfall of 2AM, TA, and TMart. Even Dylan with sacks, it was inevitable that he would get hurt. They took too many hits and couldn't make it through a season.

I think he was commenting on the abuse he may take because of his size compared to B10 defenses.. I could be wrong.. 🤷‍♂️

Colandrea to me seems to be a lot more slippery than all of them except maybe Adrian. Taylor had really good acceleration and straight line speed but he wasn't very elusive to he just took every hit straight on. When I watch Colandrea he seems to have the elusiveness to not take as many hard hits while running. This is a bit of a tangent also but I dont even think the entire problem in the B1G is size of defenses but we have some real dirty teams that we just pass off as scrappy. Lots of hip drop tackles and twisting of ankles.

it seems that most teams seem to have a QB injury every year. not sure that i would place a ton more fears of an injury on him because of his size. the bigger worry is him getting injured with too many runs

More like an Eric Crouch type runner.
