2025-2026 Portal Updates

Everybody could sit around hoping that someone else's subjective idea of "ethical" or "moral" is instilled within the current college football paradigm.

Or they could, you know, just make players sign contracts.

You won't find any of these kinds of complaints on NFL message boards because the players sign contracts that stipulate who they play for, when they play for them, and for how long.

Want to be treated as a paid employee? As a semi-pro? For your NIL? Sign a contract. It's that simple. Maybe the longer the contract the bigger the payout. Incentive based as well....Pretty simple.

So what happens to players in the portal ( from any school, nit just ours) that didn’t find a new team?

Do they stay in school at their current school? Drop out?

Players still in the portal at the beginning of summer are able to be added if a team wants them, yes?

Most 15 week semester schools often have 13, 10, and even 8 week classes. Especially w online courses. If there are enough of those isn’t it conceivable that players could still be added?

I would hate to try and get some of these athletes thru an accelerated short session class but theoretically it is possible I would think
