Castille transferring to Northwestern State

Well, I just read on husker extra.com that Mr. Castille plans to enroll, play at Northwestern State. It also says in the article that he was considering Memphis, Oregon and Texas Southern and that Northwestern St. is coached by Bo's old LB coach at LSU.

Northwestern State Article

Pelini recommended Castille to Peveto.

"I believe so much in Bo Pelini," said Peveto. "I know Bo and have complete respect for him. I worked with him at LSU. Bo gave Quentin a strong endorsement and thought he would be a great fit for our program here at Northwestern State, and that this was an ideal opportunity for Quentin. That's all I needed to hear. If Bo says it's Easter, I say dye your eggs."
From Q

"I'm a better man for the experience I had at Nebraska. I want to thank Coach Pelini for everything. He encouraged me to look at Coach Peveto and Northwestern State and I'm confident I am in the right place. I want to tell all the Nebraska fans 'thank you,' and I would say, 'once a Husker, always a Husker.' I'm now going to have another football family and I am happy to be a Demon."

Those are some great comments. I'm glad to see Q has no hard feelings. I think the majority of us are sad to see him go, wish him the best, and wish that he was still here regardless of the lack of depth issue. I'm sure most of us will be following his career in NW State.

From the article

The Demons went 7-5 last year and are coached by Bradley Dale Peveto, who is in his first season at the school. Peveto coached under Bo Pelini at LSU, serving as the linebackers coach while Pelini was defensive coordinator.

Interesting to say the least. One of Bo's ex assistants picks up one of Bo's dismissals? Wonder if Bo helped Q find a new school?
I would dare to say that Bo probably pointed Q in that direction or at least made a call to the coach.

Best of luck to him! :clap
Its a fact, 30 Helens Agree... and Bo did make a call for Q. So I guess I was wrong when I said Bo let his ego get the best of him. I beg your pardon, sir. :worship
