Would you want to see Nebraska play Boise State in a home and home?

Playing at home without traveling has noooothhhing to do with quality. South Carolina, perennial national power that they are doesn't leave home often because they can sell 80,000 tickets whether they suck or really suck.

Don't confuse a fat wallet with quality.

Boise St needs to enjoy this ride while they can because as soon as somebody realizes Chris Peterson is actually a good coach and he is the reason they've been so successful the past few years, higher echelon schools will come a calling.

Seeing Boise State when they come to hawaii to play UH..... I do respect Boise a lot for some reason... i mean they are an irritant but they always find a way to win those big games when everyone counts them out.... now would they be as highly regarded if they didn't play in WAC (man our teams here always rank near the bottom of the football polls... a la New Mexico State, IDAHO, SJSU, even hawaii) on a side note its gonna be a looong season for coach mac and the Hawaii boys as we BARELY beat central arkansas.....

but back to Boise.. i think they are tough and would be a good oppponet for the HUksers....

as for the blue turf... its lame and poeple say it gives them an advantages as their blue uniforms 'blend' in easier for offensive and defensive oppurtunities

They did that once. <_<

And as many BCS bowl losses that OU has had in row, it's not that special.
lets be realistic everyone said OU would DESTROY boise and in the end Boise won (though barely)... there have been many a game where they have been figured to get destroyed... usually against any prominent team....... mainly because over here the WAC sucks soo hard and our conference scheduals blow.... but give em credit they do find ways to win

Might be they are so used to winning that when the chips are down they don't panic because they are confident they will find a way.

Boise State puts a good team on the field every year. They're very fast and very athletic.

Don't blame them for their schedule. Nobody wants to go there and play.

They beat just about everybody they play out of conference.

They beat Oklahomo in a BCS game just 2-3 years ago.

They beat Oregon (Top 15 team) this year AND last.

Stop drinking the Kool-Aid :koolaid2: and realize that the Huskers would be hard pressed to roll out of there with a win.
Then I guess no one should blame the Big 10 teams for their schedule and call them weak then?

Besides Oregon, who will Boise State face this year that is so impressive?

how about UNiversity of HAWaii

:nanalama :nanalama :nanalama :nanalama :nanalama

GO BOWS errr.. i mean warriors

Put Boise State in the championship then if you think they are so deserving. Let's see what they can do against a Florida...

That can't happen.

The computers are stuck with the fact that they play 8 WAC teams and generally only two other than Boise are good on anything resembling a consistent basis, but there isn't a thing Boise can do about that. They are in a small television market, have been I-A for only 13 years and haven't developed the sort of fan base required to get in one of the elite conferences so they are eternally unable to produce computer numbers that will get them to one or two.

The coaches and Harris voters aren't going to start them high enough to get to 1 or 2 either because of their conference affiliation. Since 2002 the championship game has featured 14 teams, eight were pre-season #1 or #2, three weren't in the pre-season top 10 and 14th is the worst pre-season ranking to make it 2003 LSU who went 12-1 in regular season. Last Utah went from unranked in, their biggest jump was five spots in the AP AFTER they beat Bama.

Boise State cannot change their conference without an invite, and they can't crack 1-2 because of their conference.

Shoot Miami's first national title would never have happened under the BCS system because you would have played #2 Texas instead of #5 Miami.

Play Boise State in Memorial? Hell Yes.

Play Boise State on Smurf Turf? Um do we want to play at a highschool gimmick field when we can play in front of 85k fans?

Why wouldn't you want the Huskers to return a game at Boise State?

Not up for the challenge?

It only seats ~35K....so it should be an easy win, right?
