We can't beat OU

I could understand saying any of the following:

"We probably won't win."

"It is unlikely for us to win"

"I would be surprised if we won."

"It will be a challenge to beat OU."

"OU is a great team and NU is struggling on Offense."

So on and so forth...

However, I can't understand why any would think that we absolutely cannot win.

It is not outside the realm of possibility. Upsets happen and NU plays well as the underdog, they might just show up to snatch the W; it could happen.

OH SNAP, Now Lock This Thread. :hellloooo :hellloooo :hellloooo    :hellloooo :hellloooo :hellloooo :ahhhhhhhh  :bs:  :ahhhhhhhh

They also said that about Stanford a few years ago against USC

or Ole Miss last year

or Iowa State this year.
or Texas A&M over TTU, but then again we all forgot about their fat little girlfriends.

The Iowa State mention is confusing because it was a huge upset, but it also demonstrates our ineptness. I have thought about bringing up ISU over us as an upset, but that's not the best point to help the "We Can Win" cause.

As much as I hate to say it, sometimes the truth hurts.

We don't have a chance in hell at beating the Sooners.

If anything we're going to have our hands full just tying to keep it from being an absolute blowout. I don't think we'll get much more than 3 - 6 points.

or 1978

Everyone thought Boise couldn't beat em either... zOMG they are SOOOO amazingly good....

ya know what? I actually believe this talk now... who wants a free ticket in the student section? No reason to even show up to the game now

OU is a big 1st-quarter team, we need to hang early. We need to come up with a cheap score or two via D/ST's. On O we obviously have to avoid turnovers. The O will struggle to score points as-is without having to overcome ones we give them. We need to get away from the horizontal passing-game. OU will be on them after no gain and will likely grab a pick-six if we go route. We need to patiently pound the rock, throw to the TE's, and go vertical.

IMO this game sets up to be competitive but no cigar, but we could Beamerball out an ugly W.

Michael, try reading the post. :sarcasm

I do not think you go the drift so to speak.

If we score a point I will be amazed, unless the defense does it.

We will hold them for a short period, but OU will roll by the time the third quarter starts is my guess.

This could be on the level of Texas Tech at Lubbock a few years back.

This could end up being our most embarassing loss at home, it has the makings of it.

We are not a good team, we have a descent defense, but it will be worn out.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME KID?!

Nebraska's defense is on a completely different level than it was in Lubbock in 04.

People on this board make me laugh my a$$ off... we have lost a game that we shouldn't have and haven't had a great offense. Whatever happened to the ANY GIVEN SATURDAY mentality. Yes... under BillyC, we would have lost this game in a huge blowout. But don't think for a second that Bo won't have these kids ready to play.

Can we and might we get blown out? Yes.... Will we? NOOOOO

If our offense can find it's feet AT ALL... even scoring 2 touchdowns, which would be difficult at the rate we've been going, our defense can win this game for us. MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT... OUR defense is BETTER than Oklahoma's... both statistically and from observations from watching the games. We don't have a decent defense... we have a GREAT defense.

Grow a pair and stop whining like we are already being blown out. NOT ONE SNAP has been taken. Drink some F#$*ing cool-aid, you need it.

And you are comparing Nebraska to those programs to our liklihood for a win.

Its official. We are horrible.

FML
Stanford is 5-3 and 3rd in the pac 10.

But no I wasnt. I was saying far crazier things have happened. I could have used BSU over OU, Oregon State last year ect if that makes you feel better.

Or hell BYU this year over OU.
