Nebraska Preview 2012: Michigan Perspective

What's a woman?

A person who's too delicate to be called names
:D

Well if being called names is an afront to your sensibilities then you're probably not going to want to post on any website.

That being said, I think it's great to have a female voice here, cuz most times it's a total sausage fest around here. :ahhhhhhhh
It's the International House of Sausage
How much for a franchise? :D

I get a kick out of how people proclaim to be speaking the "truth". This is just merely your perception of certain events. You're not giving us the gospel of why this or that didn't occur. And you're losing most your readers in the multiple paragraph diatribes...

My perception is backed up by stats. What is yours backed up with? Of do you igonre the stats from games that don't back up your perception? If that is the case then that is fine, I will just have to take your opinions as those who are based on all emotion and not facts.

I'm not stalking you I swear....it's just I really get what you're saying in this thread.
Just say what you've got to say, and try not to be a gigantic douchebag while doing so....

It doesn't matter that we were playing a less than stellar OU team. We, as a fanbase, needed that win. After all those years under the leadership of Cpt Stupid, a win like that was huge for all of us. I'll have a tough time believing anybody, that seeing them beat OU didn't put a smile on your face.
I hope you are counting Frank "the tank" as a part of being "Cpt Stupid" becasue he's the one that put NU in the toilet, Cally continued to flush the program down the toilet.

It's sad when the pony gifs make a better point than what the thread had devolved into. Can we go ahead and lock this one?

Let me use your "stats":

If Taylor Martinez wasn't hurt, we would have beaten OU by 21+ points. I'm just speaking the truth.

So now I'm not a fan becasue I'm not a blind lemming? Give me a Fing break!
No. But christ almighty...couldn't you at least cut down on the bs? Counting a close win as a double digit loss is beyond dumb.
All I'm saying is that look at the stats. It was nice win, but with the amount of talent that OU was missing that was very likely a loss in the same ugly fashion as it was the year before. Maybe Suh and Crick make Bradford make some mistakes, but it's not likely it would be 5 INT's in which we needed every one of them to hold on for dear life. Don't get me wrong I understand why people count that as a big win, but it was mainly because the program has been a joke (by NU standards) since Colorado took us behind the woodshed at the end of the 2001 season and Miami did the same. I'm not saying that they would have scored another 62 points, but 40 would have been a good bet because our defense would have been worn out because of the lack of offense we had with two inept QB's.

And for the record I really enjoyed the win as any win over OU is nice, but I have a realistic view of the overall picture of where both of those teams were at that point in time. Now if we wouldn't have choked a 17 point lead in 2010 to OU in the CCG, then I would be if full agreement with you. Man that game was disappointing.
Here's my problem with what you're saying: You're actually discrediting Nebraska's defense in that game while artifically inflating OU's offense. I mean would it kill you to acknowledge that maybe Bo called a great game and the players did a great job executing? Naw....that couldn't be it. It had to be OU's injuries, lack of focus, inexperience, etc.
I did say that Suh and Crick dominated their OL or did you miss that? Those two were the main reason as to why we won that game. The pressure made Jones throw a bunch of bad passes, so bad that even the water boy had 3 INT's. I give him all of the credit in the world for getting those guys ready to play against a team that took their manhood the year before. To tell you the truth, it's probably the best win in Bo's tenure so far. (Screw the Big 12 refs and Texass) But that doesn't mean that all things were equal, that is all I'm saying.

And when you look at the stats and NU only has 150 yards (at best) of offense compared to 350, then you realize how the game was on or lost. OU had to feel the way we did when we lost to Iowa State in Lincoln with those 8 turnovers when NU had over 500 yards of offense and Iowa State had 127 total yards. You know that you are the better team, but you can't turn the ball over that many times to anyone and expect to win.

That is the way it happens sometimes, and it's not trying to take anything away from the win.

and Texas A&M. So, going by AFHusker's logic, we would have been in a BCS bowl that year with one loss. But let's just focus on the games we should have lost and pay no attention to the games we should have won, using his "stats," because being positive is against the rules.

Probably not since he still throws like a 12 year old girl trying to play 500.

There is nothign wrong with being positive. There is a line on both sides Positive and Negative that can be crossed. When the truth usually is somewhere in between because it's never as good as you think it is (unless you are holding the crystal football) or as bad as it seems.

And they are not my stats, they are the offical stats from the game..lol.

The A&M loss was more the refs than anything.

We showed plenty of ability to beat OU anyway. Then Taylor throws a pick in the end zone and (whatever the cause) the whole team started to derail, both sides of the ball.

As for A&M, I feel like we would have beaten them if Bo weren't busy abusing the refs. That was a bit of screwjob.
