Both. He just doesn't know how to use his athleticism when things are crashing down on him. He either braces for a sack, or tries to run straight up through the pocket. Doesn't mean I think hes a bad qb. But if there isnt a hole there for a designed running play, his ability to break to the outside or shake a few defenders in the backfield to get to the outside really isn't that great.
I see what you are saying. He does need to work on his escapability and his decision making to be more D. Robinson of Michigan when he decides to run it. He has at least corrected most of his fumbling tendencies that he had as a Freshman. The way he held the ball most of the time was the primary reason. Hopefully with another year under his belt and a hopefully improved O-line we should see even more improvement.
I think Stanton would redshirt and be a star when he is the starter, the way it should be, not come in and be a four year starter. It allows him the time to be ready to be a backup and then the starter, just like in the old days (like in the 90's when kids played as juniors and seniors not freshmen and sometimes sophomores).
I agree. In our hey day, we ran the ball like no ones business. Pass enough to keep the D honest and use one to set up the other. For Bshirt, bring back Super D. I keep hearing about our number of corners and their size. Slide one up to the 2003 Super D mode and unleash the beast.
