This is either going to make this season completely painful to watch, or it's going to force some of these guys to step up to the next level...

 
I don't know what this thread is for, but if it's to talk about our o-line's deficiencies the last couple of years, I never get tired of talking about it.

 
Choi gave me some surprising flashes of good play last year and that was it. I pray Qvale and Sirles are the monsters we perceived when we recruited them. This O-Line needs to come together BIG time.

 
I just want to see a season without multiple false starts in a single drive.

2 per game max.

Otherwise they've done a great job in run blocking and the pass pro has been good in non-3rd situations.

Give coach Cotton a raise for having so many D1 talent sons that want to be Huskers is what I say...

Our o-line play has been pretty sad to watch since Tenopir was forced out. Neither Cotton or Wagner have been able to really develop any of these guys. I just get the feeling if we had the O-line coach from Wisc or Iowa our line would be a force.

 
The loss of Klatcko and Moore, both young, both numbered among our higher recruits on the OL, cannot help at all. Our OL was undisciplined last year (though better than they were the year before), were routinely owned by the B1G DL's and needs to improve several (or more) levels from where they were. To expect such improvement in general is perhaps a bit optimistic... to expect it in view of the loss of two key (or potential key) cogs in OL is even less likely.

For NU to be year in and year out a team that is so often flat emotionally, undisciplined, and as unfocused as they are... well... it is consistent anyway with major off-field distractions that makes the team come in unprepared/distracted/unmotivated (which is what NU looks like a great deal). Is the loss of these players symptomatic of major issues in the locker room at NU (meaning the problems/distractions are really getting worse)... or is the systematic pruning of certain players a move that will relieve the off-field issues in the locker room (with the problems/distraction lessened as a result)? I have no idea. I hope it is the latter.

But it is tough to watch a team --- game in and game out --- out-hustled, out-hearted, and playing distracted, unfocused, and w/o passion. Somehow, somebody ... make it stop.

I think a fair share of us were thinking, the O line had a shot at being better than good this year, but now, Rex is probably going to have to work extra hard, and risk more injuries due to the lack of talent up front.

Rex and Taylor are both going to have to step their respective games up now. Time for Ameer, Imani, Marrow, and Heard to show why we brought them in and give Rex a break during games.

Rex and Taylor are both going to have to step their respective games up now. Time for Ameer, Imani, Marrow, and Heard to show why we brought them in and give Rex a break during games.

They're definitely going to have to step up, thats a great point. If they try to run Rex like they did last year, with the potential disaster that will be blocking for him, he's gonna get tore up. These guys need to earn their keep, and they need to start earning it now.

They're definitely going to have to step up, thats a great point. If they try to run Rex like they did last year, with the potential disaster that will be blocking for him, he's gonna get tore up. These guys need to earn their keep, and they need to start earning it now.

The line was a disaster last year as well, and Rex did fine.... I don't see the Moore/Klatcho situations being as impactful as some seem to think. We have plenty of capable bodies on the line, and it sounds like both of those guys (Moore/Klatcho) were sliding down the depth charts anyways. Of course that means that the coaches believe we have better options available....

I don't want to see two 2nd string O-linemen leaving ruin the positive vibes coming from camp....
