Northwestern is bad, a bad team is not going to come to Lincoln and win. Huskers 48-Wildcats 20

I actually kind of like it. Especially compared to the other possibilities, it is kind of reminiscent of the Orange Bowl trophy. And I have always hated Iowa, and think they were easily the most logical rivalry for Nebraska, and now it is on the best day of the calender.

Look, I'm not saying Oklahoma and Nebraska would be a "bad" matchup in the Rose Bowl. I'm not saying you should kill the rivalry or that I don't consider it to be a great game. I never even said that the Rose Bowl is ALWAYS Pac-12 v. Big 10, all I'm saying is what I would like to see and how I would like things to be. For the most part, or at least since the 1940's that game has been Pac v. Big 10, that is our tradition which I welcome you to take part in. We as a conference really haven't asked that much of you, most of your big games so far have been AT Lincoln, we had to double down on trips we just made (like UW at MSU) to accomodate you and we had to cope with probably the most retarded nomenclature in modern CFB history. All that we ask is that you embrace us as your new bretheren and join in the tradition that makes the conference the most storied in the game...please, you're new and we like you, don't become the Big Ten's Texas.
Actually we had/have to play the top 3 teams from the other division, 2 of 3 on the road. We are playing at PSU, at the Big House, and at Camp Randall. Oh and by the way we're not getting the same amount of cash as the rest of the conference for a couple of years. So don't act like NU is coming into the conference and calling all our own shots. And the B1G vs. PAC absolutism ended with the BCS just like NU vs OU ended with the Big 12. In fact I seem to have a vague memory of Wisconsin playing a non-PAC school just last year.

All I see is a Nebraska coach telling a bad guy to stay away from our kids.

Gilbert would actually hurt the immediate numbers, because he would be tying up a scholarship for a year without being able to play. Not to mention dude is transferring because he got dropped to third on the depth chart. Are we really to the point where we are hoping for the guys who are not talented enough to play anywhere else? The Wilson analogy is a complete fallacy, because talent was not his issue NC State was miffed that he was skipping spring ball to play minor league baseball.

I also stand much of the time. Since we're sharing children stories I have my 2 year old son throwing the bones.

Hey, KB isnt stupid, he's just sticking up for his starting QB. Might get a few more targets that way. Hes not really sticking up for TM, just sticking up for him b/c he is the starter now. If Carnes ever starts and is getting criticized he will then switch to sticking up for him.
Oh gawd...always the Debbie Downer spinning things in the worst possible way. Isn't it time to re-new your National Inquirer subscription?
How is that being a Debbie Downer?
A team player, any team player, sticks up for their own and protects the locker room, no matter what. So, yes, Kenny may be sticking up for Taylor but he's also sticking up for his QB1. It doesn't matter who that guy is, his teammates should be rallying around him.
Uhhh zoogies......he's saying he's doing it to get more passes thrown to him.
No he isn't. He's saying maybe that would be a benefit of it, but he said that he's doing it because Taylor is QB1. Zoogies is right there.
Well duh....it's no big stretch to imagine the "benefit" had something to do with it, huh? But sure, maybe it didn't and I took it wrong. If so....my bad!
GBR!!
It appears to me that C N Red is saying precisely that the only reason Kenny Bell is standing up for Taylor is to get the ball. The post says that he is not actually sticking up for Taylor, just whoever happens to be in the position that can get him the ball.

I'll see your 17 and raise you 10. This is not Wisc at Camp Randall at night.

Another thing about scout team is that often times it consists of players who are redshirting, that may be talented enough to compete for a spot on the two deep.

If the other 8 schools, led by OU, agree to regulate third tier media than Texas doesn't really have a whole lot of choice. No other conference is going to allow the LHN, it has kept Texas out of multiple conferences (twice out of the Pac-12), so they have no where to go.

First Kick Catch Interference was questionable, the second was inconsequential, and the third was absolutely spot on, since the onside kick did not hit the ground first the kicking team has to allow the receiving team the chance to catch the ball. The coverage man jumped in front of our player, easy call.

The quality will improve when conference play begins and the network does not have to field 8 crews.

If we should lose,
Bo v. Saban & Miles after first four years - - now shut up!

Those SEC guys also have more D-1 players within 10 miles of their campus as Nebraska has in all the surrounding states. Makes things slightly easier.
