  1. If beating Iowa was a panacea for the boosters who want Bo gone they are idiots and we'd be better off without their money.

I don't think these boosters are unhappy with Bo's knowledge of coaching.

These boosters are frustrated with his sideline behavior and the way he speaks to the media. Carl having an affair with a boosters daughter-inlaw doesn't help either. These guys are looking for any reason to get the Pelini's out.

  3. He might be smarter now but where is the TM from last year? TM was a much better quaterback last year (pre-ankle). Now, he is very timid when he runs and can not break a tackle. He's the softest QB in the BIG. I would take 2010 TM over 2011 TM.

  4. His throwing mechanics are exactly the same to me. His running game is what has changed in my opinion. He was a much better rusher last year. He is very soft and can not break a tackle to save his life, like he could last year. He is very very timid when he runs.

  5. Bob Stoops has also won a National Championship, 7 Conference Championships, played in 8 BCS bowls and has a winning percentage of 81%. His teams have also finished ranked 1, 6, 5, 3, 3, 22, 11, 8, 5, and 6. I think if Bo had that pedigree his blowout losses would be easier to take.

    Yep!

I can see Carl being gone next year, and Bo will have some big choices to make.

  6. I hope they are just rumors. I just thought it was really interesting "news". The NCIU article is very intriguing and I am trying to get a password. Prob won't happen though. -_-

What ever happens, I trust TO's decisions

  7. 1.) Bo has not mentioned love for TO in months

Bo is getting fired because he doesn't give TO any love? :laughpound

Obviously not a reason to be fired. This is just a sign that Bo and TO have spoke about this.

  8. I like Bo, but there are Lots of Rumors flying around about Tom Osborne’s “Smart Bomb” that he has prepared in the last few months. This “Smart Bomb” would force Bo to voluntarily resign, and this Nebraska job will be very attractive for Chris Petersen or David Shaw. The “Smart Bomb” consists of, 1.) Bo has not mentioned love for TO in months, 2.) TO has enough evidence (dirt) on Carl, 3.) Bo has threatened to go if TO fires Carl, 4.) Bo already has permission to talk to an SEC school (Ole Miss).

Initially I heard this from rivals but then I heard it from a guy who is right “most” of the time about Husker rumors. I’m pretty sure this guy is a member of NCIU.

  9. What a silly fact.

Out of the remaining teams, who would of beat the 4 best teams in the Big 10 in one season??

(Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minn, Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin)

AND, Penn State Athletics have only been in the Big 10 since 1993. So that leaves only 18 years for this fact. :dunno

  10. Please explain to me what this 'unprepaired to compete' stuff is. I don't bye it. I bet if you ask any player or coach before any game, they wouldn't say, "I'm not sure about todays game because we are unprepaired to compete." I don't think that is why we lost today. There were many other factors.

We didn't play four quarters of football. We were fundamentally unsound in the kicking game, pass-pro, run-blocking, tackling, gap-coverage, pass coverage, the option game, run decisions, concentration and execution. Our coaches didn't stick with what worked, they were unable to gameplan a scheme to get our defense off the field, they didn't have an effective offensive scheme designed to attack the weaknesses of the defense, and they failed to build depth by bringing in our backups when the game had been decided.

How would you describe that? To me, that means "100% unprepared to compete."

Which phase of the game did you think we were fully prepared to compete in?

I hear what you're saying know. I think we are always "prepared" to compete, but I agree that we did not "compete" very well today, if that makes sense. I guess I'm looking at it a little different. Now, time for a pint or two. :wasted

  12. I'm excited for Tommy Armstrong to be a Cornhusker. His Texas high school team is 11-0 this season, and he's thrown 20 TD's and 0 interceptions and has ran for 819 yards. He's got a great arm, with great touch. Check out his highlight video below. Thank Beck for this kid.
