So at UNL, I graduate with a B.A. in psych is approximately a week, but I was going to double major in Journalism. He talked to my BRDC 375 class in the Journalism building. He had his own office, yet he's self-employed. Seriously was not surprised one bit. Not sure the UNL journalism department can judge character...ohhhhhhhh

    Are you serious?

He's also the director of sales (or was previously) at Digity in Lincoln and has had a very successful career. I know several people who know or have met the guy and say nothing but nice things about him.

its called I'm a psych major, and I judged him correctly, go ahead and tell me he's a great guy. He's an f'ing joke. You want to try to steal 400,000 from the elderly? and gibr $250,000 in gifts from it to your friends? Start a better argument. You're obviously a Republican.

Please go back to wherever you came from with this sh#t.

I shall gladly puke everywhere, getting my degree on the 15th. Mostly on stage though.

Hey Knapp, looks like I'm the only one who can judge character,

  4. No offense to Bo, like he tried his best, my serious intentions were that his best interests were at hearts, but I like Riley more, we could win 7 or 8 games, and I'd be excited about the future. But like I have Davie, Darlington, and Rose in my last class before I graduate, these kids need time during the day to worry about school first, and football second. Night practice is great. Even if/when we go two a days with early morning and late at night, at least allows them to do school work, eat, nap and then get excited for practice; something BO should have thought of.

  5. 10-3...would be tied for the best winning percentage over the last 9 years...I'll take that in a heart beat with our lack of experience. Look at next year...We are only losing 2 starters on offense...caputo and hardrick...and we have playmakers across the board. We lose arguably 4 out of our 5 best defensive players in Crick, Dennard, Lavonte, and Cassidy (the other one is Thorell). But look for us to have a break out year next year. Obviously we all wanted to win the Big 10, but top to bottom this conference is much better than the Big 12. We simply were not there this season. "I was right and wrong"

  7. As parents, you will all undoubtedly agree that one of our most important jobs is to educate our children as Husker fans. As babies, my wife and I taught our children basic sign language, such as "hungry," "more," "please," "thank you," "touchdown," and "throw the bones." They know how important it is to wear red on Saturdays, and when we visit my wife's relatives in Missouri, they know that they are supposed to act superior to them.

So I was very pleased this morning when my 4 year old son asked me who the Huskers were playing against this weekend. Yes! He's interested in the game! So I tell him that the Huskers are playing at Michigan, and it's a pretty big game. Then he asks what Michigan's team is called.

My blood suddenly runs cold. Although he is showing a gradual interest in Husker football, his number one passion, as with most 4 year olds, is superheroes. So I gulp, and tell him that Michigan is called the Wolverines. His face lights up with excitement and asks if they wear yellow and blue like Wolverine the superhero. Crap.

At the end of the discussion, in which I tried to persuade him that these Wolverines have nothing to do with the superhero, and that we are Huskers, he said he wanted them to tie. He's too young to understand college football's overtime rules, so I let that one slide. At the end he said he hopes they both win, but even if they lose, he said, "It's okay, I will want them to win next week."

At least he embodies the motto of: "Not the victory but the action; Not the goal but the game; In the deed the glory."

But seriously, I need to burn all of his superhero toys now and replace them with Husker memorabilia, right?

I was a Missouri Tiger fan from age 4-6. Tigers are cool! Except when I realized I would not actually see a real Tiger, then my interest was lost.

  8. Callahan was fired after 4 years remember, also a year after he went to the conference championship, Bo's been here six and most likely will not have a chance to win one until his 7th year. Not for firing Bo just yet, but circumstances are different. The talent level is lower and the coaching is probably better currently, but we need to even that out.

  9. Safe to say my dad and me love going to away games, I'm only 20 and I've been to: Memorial Stadium, Colombia, Missouri (2001), Lawrence, Kansas (2001, 2009), San Antonio Alamo Dome (2003), Los Angeles, California (2006), Manhatten, Kansas (2008), Blacksburg, Virginia (2009), Jerrydome Dallas, Texas (2009, 2010), College Station, Texas (2010), Laramie, Wyoming (2011), Ann Arbor, Michigan (2011, soon to be '13), Columbus, Ohio (2012), Iowa City, Iowa (2012), Indianapolis, Indiana (2012) Away Record- 7-8

  10. Ann Arbor is cool spot

Nice walkable downtown, fairly close to the stadium

Stadium is sunk in the ground

Get a hotel now, you dont want to have to go to Detroit to get a room

Flying into Detroit Friday night with my faja. Renting a car to drive to Ann Arbor, staying there Friday and Saturday. Going to game, then flying back Sunday morning. We actually tailgated with family at the golf course across the street from the stadium in 2011. Love the setup there.

  11. Im a student and we have 25,000 that go to this university. At the most the student section holds 8,000 people. So we must have "the greatest fans in college football" if we cant get 1/3 of the university to go to a football game. Anyone says that this number of students that should go to games is outrageous needs to stop.

  12. Most people in the student section bitch more than fans with season tickets. I don't even like sitting there anymore. I know there are armchair quarterbacks and coaches everywhere especially at Nebraska, but it gets negative really quick. As someone who sat around 8 years in south stadium (section 18) with my dad and other relatives, it's less negative where we were sitting but the cheering is pretty dim. We really need to rethink the whole greatest fans in college football thing. Sure we show sportsmanship, but when it comes to supporting our team during negative situations, we don't. I mean if we want to be known as the fan base that cheers the opposing team even if they beat us down, that is all fine and dandy, but our crowd has been fairly stagnant of late. Obviously this year hasn't had much to cheer about, but the last time I remember the stadium being real loud was 09' Oklahoma.
