1. I didnt say I enjoyed watching the huskers lose to the gamecocks. Quit putting words in my mouth. I never once said one word to anyone on this board about losing to the gamecocks. Ever. I'm a life long Husker fan, I just actually like a few other teams..teams where I have lived before. I'm sorry you dont have your big boy pants on and can't handle that..but it is what it is stud. In the big boy world you can actually be a Husker fan and not have to HATE every other team in the country. You got your panties in a bunch because I pointed out Bo's offense is lacluster and others happen to agree with me if you read lol. Don't get so butt hurt, or do, I don't really care one way or another.

  2. Exactly zoogies. We haven't improved on offense a bit and Bo at least had the recruits and the system. Bragging about an offense that is so inept they take the qb out of the game and just let the RB run the offense are you kidding me. Btw I am a college football fan, I actually have teams i like outside of Nebraska, what a concept!

  3. Meh I could care less frankly. I'm not impressed with Bo nor his elitist my dad can beat up your dad attitude to the fans and the media either. As for "we could still have Callahan", at least if we did we'd have an offense.

....and at least have losing seasons, the worst blowout losses in the history of NU cfb "and" an offense that was only effective vs creampuffs. But one must admit our offense under Clownahan was unstoppable at garbage time (lots of practice at it).

Naw we had a good offense you homers just refuse to admit it. The problem was it didnt matter if we scored 1000 points our defense let the other team score 2000. But I'm not in the business of convincing koolaid drinkers Callahan wasn't the devil himself in sheeps clothing you all try to portray him as.

You mean the offense that only scored ten points until we were down 5 touchdowns at home against USC?

The offense that didn't scored 6 points against Missouri?

The offense that didn't score until the 4th quarter (down by 38 points) against Oklahoma State, at home, during Homecoming?

    Yeah, it was amazing.

Ohhh I see, so you enjoy getting beat by Iowa State only scoring 7 points then? Or how about losing against Missouri during Homecoming 17-52? 6 points against aTm, 7 points against Washington, having the running back play quarterback because the qb sucks that bad etc etc. At least Billy C had the excuse he was taking an option team that didn't know what a forward pass was and turned it into a pass happy offense, no small feat. Yea, we've improved by leaps and bounds fella! It's all good though as long as my gamecocks keep whoopin on people playing in a real conference!

  5. Sounds to me like they are throwing names against a wall and seeing what sticks. Like any other "Bo mentioned as candidate for ______" thread, he hasn't really proven much of anything at Nebraska just yet and Arkansas is a step down in the coaching world.

Serious question though....what happens to the employment of Tevin Mitchell's mom? Is she now out of a job too? <_<

Are you kidding? A step down? Just fyi Arky paid out more money for their head coach than did Nebraska, not to mention better recruits, playing in the dominant conference and an 11-2 season (losses to LSU and Bama only) etc etc. A step down..ha yea right.

  6. I like Bo, always have, but in a way, isn't Peter somewhat right?

He is absolutely right. Bo's demeanor has a serious negative effect on the players. One of the many negative effects would be losing focus. It affects their mindset. I'm sick of people defending him. Bo is the main problem. I understand wanting your coach to have that fire, but Bo does it in a toxic way. I'm telling you, look at a majority of successful coaches. NFL or college. They are calm, cool and collected and display the right amount of fire at the right time. Bo is toxic.

Have you ever watched Nick Saban coach? If you have, you'd realize what you just said here is way off mark.

As someone pointed out, however, the difference is that Saban is older and far more experienced, and has a championship tied to him. He gets away with it. Saban is even worse than Pelini at times, yet I don't see people calling him a toxin. Why? Because he wins, but he also has a lot more reason to win because of his experience, his experienced coaching staff and the wealth of talent he has. Pelini doesn't have any of those three things, so he's doing what he can.

Saban doesn't have a vehement look on his face every single time he's got a mic in his face either. Bo however does and it doesnt bode very well for him. An increasing number of people have grown tired of the same old song and dance with Bo. "we didn't execute, we didn't play to our standard, any questions?", followed by seering looks at anyone who dares to ask him a question.

  7. Absolute rubbish. Dennard instigated it all and absolutely mobbed Jeffery with no call of course. If you watch the fight video clearly Dennard was all over him and even threw an uppercut to the chin under the helmet before Jeffery turned and pushed him and once again Dennard threw another punch. Jeffery DID deserve MVP and he should of never been ejected, however the punk Dennard deserved everything he got.

Punk? That's the last word I would use to describe Dennard. Calling him a punk because he lost his mind on one play is pretty foolish.

What exactly would you call throwing punches at an opposing player then hmm? I call that pretty "punkish" myself. Dennard got what he deserved and he was just pissy that he wasn't shutting down Jeffery period and it got the best of him. Total punk move.

  8. Alshon Jeffrey made 2 catches, only one of which resulted in any points for his team. Dennard was completely shutting him down and was gettin under his skin. Obviously jeffrey feels he is entitled becuase of who he is. Dennard was in no way innocent for what happened, in fact I feel Dennard did more to deserve what happened to him, but it is a major failure of morales to award the mvp to a trash talking, face mask grabbing thug like alshon jeffrey. What has our society come to when we kick a player out of the game for crap like that then not 2 hours later give him the mvp, for a game a barely played half of. What a joke. No wonder these punks and act like they do.

  9. The fact that Nebraska got their butts whooped in the 4th quarter shows very little; Nebraska's offense is not built to be successful in obvious passing situations. You're crazy if you think SoCar outplayed Nebraska in the first half, when both teams were allowed to do what they wanted offensively. The c$%ks were on the lucky side of 10 points which drastically changed the way the game was played. I would consider those 10 points to be outliers

Carolina did win the game, but saying they're a much better team than Nebraska is probably a stretch. The reason Nebraska was playing catch-up in the fourth quarter was primarily due to outlier events, rather than the play of the c$%ks.

Maybe you need to do a little redesign of your Huskers cause they apparently will be playing catch up a lot in the future, especially if they have to play c$%ks again!!!

Congratulations on your first 11 win season.

We have 12 11+ win seasons

Call us when you have 13 (We have 2)

Only 2 13 win seasons against perennial inept teams in the Big 8. Things sort of changed when the Big 12 was formed though didn't it. No longer did Nebraska just have to get by Oklahoma and whoever in the bowl game.

  10. We will end up with 9 wins again this year. Why was that an exceptable win total for TO but not BO??? UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

I liken it to the Solich era. It wasn't the amount of losses, it was the blowout losses and losses to teams we shouldn't be losing to. I never mind losing a hard fought game, but if we are losing by 3 touchdowns or more watching an utterly pathetic meltdown, that frankly pisses me off. 9-3 aint so bad if we are at least competing in the games and not being absolutely embarressed.

  11. AustinHusker and I have disagreed on some things, but when has he or anybody else said they think winning is more important running a clean program, or where have they eluded to it? Just kind of curious why he's been pegged as this? He's probably more negative than other posters, but I've personally never once seen him say winning is more important than winning the right way. I'm also kind of struggling to see how winning at all costs or firing the coach are linked. Perhaps you could clarify so I can better understand.

That said, running a clean program is of the utmost importance to me, and I think most people are going to agree. If we don't do anything illegal and continue to win 10 games a season and compete for championships, I'd rather have that than run an unclean program but compete for championships all the time.

Agreed. Austin is a negative nelly no doubt about that. However he raises some points a lot of people think but don't have the testicular fortitude to actually say it.
