  1. it is probably not true for all programs but i have notived that some that were down get back to the top with lets say questionable players. i look at florida state with winston or auburn with cam newton. i realize not all have had those players that have roae to the top BUT i ask you would you be ok with having a player that has issues if that got NU back to the top and thus brought in better players to keep it going?

  2. Great Video! This may sound lame but is there anyway you can chose songs that dont have swearing in the future. I am not offended by it but I like to make my students watch highlights on fridays ( i teach in kansas ) but I can't with this type of song. just throwing it out there.

  3. callahans is the place to be if you want a nebraska crowd. You will need to get there early though. depending on where you are staying, i assume either 95th and I35 or I435 and metcalf, 810zone does do a good job of having husker games on usually (119th and nall), also there is a new coaches at 135th and antioch that has an upstairs patio outside, depending on weather. the biggest problem you will have is that the Ksux and KU game is before the Husker game so places will be packed.

    good luck

  4. Remember we just played arkansas state. i realize they had a good last year in their division but that is not a BCS level division. our defense was better but against lesser talent. i would say we have about a 35% chance. ohio, michigan st, michigan are all still a huge challenge for us.

But i do like the positive thoughts!

  5. I agree with many that the coaching is suspect. I started to doubt Bo and beck last year and more now. Even last week when I watched miss s go through the middle of the D I had flashbacks to the Callahan era. But what has concerned me for the past few years is the strength of our players. Since the previous strength coach retired we have gotten more and more week. You can saw all u want about recruiting better talent but I just remember since I was a boy being in awe of the muscle on our players. Our players that were Nebraska walk ons and simple 3 star players. I think the strength coach needs to be looked at seriously as well! I understand that schools have all increased their strength programs to be like ours (was) but they should not have passed us!

  6. Personally, I do not blame anyone for booing. People drove long distances, took long flights, and paid great money for tickets to see their beloved Huskers. In the 1st half, we saw a team as unmotivated and mentally unprepared for a game as we have seen in a LONG time. No effort, no fire, no anything from this entire team.

It would have been one thing if the team was out there busting their a**es, and just simply getting beat. But it's another to go out and put on the display of football we all saw just one week after the got raped against Wisconsin.

The effort was inexcusable in that 1st half, and the fans simply let them know. It was obvious that tOSU running up and down the field, and the scoreboard weren't enough of hints for the team to pick up their player, so the fans gave them another hint. A few players, namely Lavonte, Rex, and Taylor took the hint and picked up their play in the 2nd half.

Putting it simple - you don't want fans to boo, then go out there and lay it on the line and don't ever try to give us an effort like we saw in the 1st half of that game.

I think i have to go along with this. i don't think it should be an every game thing, BUT nebraska football wants our support, want our time, want our money, want our passion. We are all glad to give but also expect something in return, effort. tackels being broken, lining up wrong, running the wrong routes, not blocking....these are not coaching or game situation errors, these are effort and focus. Passion goes both ways and after weeks of sub-par play, people want to let out frustration. is this any different than BO yelling in a kids face when he misses a block? As mentioned before, these same people are willing to move on and cheer with everything they have as well. Like it or not, this is BIG time college football that generates millions of dollars. Stop acting like this is pee wee football where every kid gets a trophy. I do not think it is the best thing in the world to happen but it is also not the end of the world. The people who boo'd whatever are no less of fans than those who sat there mumbling or b*tching to those around them. Maybe hearing some dissatisfaction from the fans made the players that are competitors want to play harder and inspired them some to come out and shut everyone up?? who knows???
