teams would be idiots not to hire bo as a d coordinator regardless of anything. honestly, if he teams up with spurrier i'll be pissed. I want bo as a d coordinator... not as a head coach.

Tressel or bust. No experiments.

Guys I think are out:
Youngstown crew: Stoopses, Tressels, all those are out.
No HC experience: Frost, Herman, Narduzzi
Guys who are not going to leave their current jobs: Harbaugh, Golden, Patterson.
Too "Back-to-the-Solich days": Bohl (how soon we forget he was fired as our DC), Calhoun, Paul Johnson
Guys who were never consistent winners anyway: Schiano, Kill, Grobe, Chryst.
Art Briles I have no idea where to put that guy. Leaving him out.
Leaving:
Kyle Wittingham, Utah
Jim McElwain, CSU
Justin Fuente, Memphis
Mark Richt, UGA (some may put him in the won't leave above, but there's a bit of Pelini-esque unrest with him at UGA)
Mike Gundy, OSU (same as above)
David Cutcliffe, Duke
Rich Rodriguez, Arizona
Dan Mullen, MSU (He will not be at MSU long term, let's be real)
My top 5 wishes, no particular order:
Fuente - Guy can coach and he can coach offense. Plus his ties in recruiting are in Texas.
Mike Gundy - Don't let this down season fool you. He can coach and brought a BCS win to Stillwater. Time to move on.
Jim McElwain - Lack of track record, much like Fuente, scares me a bit, but when you can win with garbage consistently at a program like that, you're doing something right.
Rich Rod - Okay, I get the Michigan thing. I have no idea what happened there. But besides that this guy gets it done. Maybe UM is cursed or maybe the uber-big time program messes with him in some way, which could happen at NU. I hope that he learned from whatever happened at UM and is down to leave UA.
Dan Mullen - One thing that makes me nervous is a coach with a short, impressive track record when he was riding an NFL QB. Anyone can win with Dak Prescott... hope he can do it without him too.
Anybody who wants rich rod is smoking that loud. It would be a huge failure of a hire. I'm pissed he was even mentioned. What are doing here? Trying to make our hole deeper? He failed hard at Michigan. His success at Arizona is plastic.

What do you expect the AD to say at the beginning of a season?Last year was a tough season, and the response was to present a unified front. The AD made it clear that Nebraska was throwing more resources than ever before behind the program and that the current staff had all the support it needed. The current staff acknowledged this, there were many cat moments, and all in all the red carpet was laid out. All Bo had to do was go out and turn in a good year, a step forward, and a lot of wins.If that doesn't happen and this season again ends with a whimper, I can't see the AD doing that again. Last year was a not-so-subtle "one last chance." If Bo doesn't take a step forward, it'd be an endorsement of the status quo.The tricky gray area will be hit if Nebraska wins an uninspired, sloppy finale against Iowa. I can't see Bo being canned without the opportunity to break through #4losses. That just doesn't set up the next coach very well, in my opinion. Knowing our luck, that's exactly what's going to happen.
I expect Eichorst to feel the same as he did then. Bo isn't going anywhere. Shawn understands we're not going to win championships every year. This is his second season serving as Bo's boss and two winning seasons. For Pelini to save face IMO a full evaluation of his staff should be in order. I think you cut the weak links out. The coaches who are not on the same page up to this point and those who have made no improvements. I'm not going to point them out. It's pretty obvious which assistants need the pink slip. The question is whether Bo has the stones to make such a decision.
When I stop and think about the real possibility of Bo telling any of the coaches under him to kick rocks, logic tells me that's absolutely ludicrous. There is a whole list of crazy things that would happen before that. It would never ever happen. It's Bo's way or the highway.

Nebraska, as a ranked team, has 7 losses of 17-plus points since 2011. That's the most in the nation.

I cannot believe some of you are talking about chances of getting into the conference title game. Omg wow.

I have a feeling that the way he chooses to coach comes back to bite him. he's so dam chippy and grudgy... im sure its ten fold in the film room. at a certain point does that work against you? "f#*k it... coach is already pissed. he's gonna be pissed either way."
-
He pretty much admitted that he's not qualified to be a head coach in the presser when he said, "I don't get into 'big picture' stuff." That's exactly the stuff head coaches are supposed to be into!
he was clueless in the presser. "yeah i dont know. i literally dont know. something changed in the game. i dont know." sigh.
-
will never happen. bo is a blaze of glory type guy. its him and his whole crew or nobody.

we will win out as long as we dont face a top ten team.

Depends, if he started putting up some good numbers the rest of the way and leads us to a BIG title, he'll be back in the mix again.
it will always come down to him being completely shut down last night. its a common tune.

he will be in new york, but his run is over. thank the o-line.

he wasn't thinking. he hit the ball out of the back of the endzone resulting in a safety. once the ball is touched by one of our players, the ball is live.
