  1. Not sure if one year experience is enough in Miles' eyes, but hopefully it is and he brings Chin back.

You think Chin would be interested in making a "lateral" move back...?

    I think it's possible...

Miles is the guy who gave Chin his first real chance at getting into D1 coaching/recruiting. Chin also helped Miles get into the ears of some good AAU players out there from his AAU days

  2. Any way you slice it...Our government spends more than it takes in .... by the Billions. All of this extra money will only help fund our Government for 3 days. I'm no financial expert. But If I have a business that over-spends for generations, I can assure you that I wouldn't have quality health care, a quality home (if any), a car, or food. I would be shut down because all of the bill collectors would be demanding my money and our government would let them take most of my assets. (The non-essential goodies like cars for instance) This country is going down a path where a majority of the citizens want the Government to pay for all their needs with little money coming out of pocket or free. That is Socialism. The way I see it, all of these people who keep wanting our Government to keep giving us things need to move to Russia and see how well they like it. This demand for "more" only forces the Government to keep over-spending. That's only one slice of the budget. The rest of the budget is even more bloated.

This "increase" to the normal rate for Social Security will do absolutely nothing for our own retirements. The Govt. already see it as an entitlement (which means they'll take it away if they want, but will still collect that money to recoup the revenue stream in other taxes) funded by us. They merely use that money to spend down on our deficit. None of us will ever see 100% of the money that the Govt. forces us to set aside for our retirement, so we should never accept settling for a higher rate when it's proven we'll never see it.

  3. My hunch is that he's looking to see how much love Bo & co. will show after his visit to Kentucky. I think we sent everyone except the waterboy to Westerkamp's house last year to seal the deal. If he switches, that means the KY staff did a good job selling early playing time vs. a shot at playing time. Personally, I'd rather be the worst player at the best school than the best player at the worst.

  4. If Heard wants to play in the NFL, he really should consider becoming a DB. He a good RB, but I just don't know if he's going to get the touches. Maybe he will next year with Rex leaving.

If it weren't for the groin injury Heard's touches would have went up tenfold.

The secondary is the last of our worries with the guys we have. Rose will start next year at one of the spots. Wondering why we didn't see more of SJB today.

Charles Jackson is one tough s.o.b. I think he forces his way into the mix.

It's stupid how much young athletism we have on the roster.

Just imagine if we could recruit! :sarcasm

  5. OMG, I think we really need this guy. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. If Valentine, Moss, and Peat can't step up next year, we are screwed.

They will only be RS Fr. Can't expect them to be near All B1G caliber. If and it is looking most likely when we strike out on ALL JUCO DTs we will be in a world of hurt next season

Exactly, we need to be very lucky and get this guy. By step up, I mean, be better than Chase Rome. If he wins a starting job next year...I'll need to be self medicated for about every game next year

  6. For whatever reason, I think Pelini underestimated how difficult it would be to recruit to Nebraska. He relied on Gilmore his 1st 2 years as HC, then papuchis, now Els has had his 2nd year almost complete as Recruiting coordinator. While I don't think els has done well as special teams coordinator, he's done ok as LB coach, and I believe he's done very well as recruiting coordinator. We won't see the fruits of his efforts for another year or two. that said, I'm more than willing to wait 2 more years to see if our teams can finally get over the hump and win a Conference title. I'm as frustrated as anyone about last Saturday's game, but if we can get more of the elite recruits that we are in on and show up well against Georgia...tall order, I know, Georgia's damn good...then we are probably in better shape than most of the "sky is falling" fans on this board ranting about getting rid of Pelini

  7. Bo deserves it....year five here we are. Big stage is always a loss. Heck it wasn't like we were playing Bama

We played awful. No excuses and Bo took the blame.

I've watched a ton of Wisconsin games this year and I really didn't recognize a single set they ran last night.

Bo himself said he saw those plays, 99% of them to be exact, and they practiced against them. During the game they showed the same plays from this year and the previous year, so they have been run.

They saw 99% of the plays, but they were plays that were only on less than 99% of available game film. Part of the reason some play appear out of no where, is so that it gives teams that much more to prepare for. What Wisconsin ran successfully were the plays that were rarely used, but were amazingly effective because they were rarely used most of the year. Not too often does a team all of a sudden rely on plays that are barely used for the majority of the year. Credit Wisconsin, the players were not prepared well enough. They found what worked and stuck with it.

Also, when Wisconsin had all but 2 linemen at the LOS, couldn't we have had Taylor walk slowly to the center like he was going to audible and then take a quick quick snap under center and run sneak play while they were blitzing past him? They gave us 5 free yards every time they lined up that way. The guards and center could have a chosen a direction to go and block out the 2 players that were in front of them. It's hard for a defender to change direction at full speed when they don't expect a QB draw/sneak

  8. Dirk relishes at chances to slam Bo and NU. f#*k that guy. Next time I see something he writes stolen directly from a message board I'm sending him an email.

yep. Just like that trash piece of the 18 hours in hell for the players ... :ahhhhhhhh

  9. He wasn't defenseless as the above poster said. IMHO, that is the reason for the call I'm guessing. Yet, if KB doesn't block that guy and Jamal tries his 40th juke move into #10 on that play, he probably gets tackled and KB gets an earful for not finishing the play properly.

  10. If Tai Webster decides to sign on that dotted line after tomorrow, that'll be huge for the future. He'd be the 1st 4 star guy to sign with Miles, I have a feeling, if we have a good crowd and are competitive, this young man will sign this weekend. I'd to see this guy become the Hoops Legend that helps this program reach heights that Danny Nee couldn't quite reach. I'm am sooo ready for a team that contends for conference titles and plays in the Dance regularly.

  11. I know they (KT) used to give the stuff away at marathons...now it's worn by a ton of elite athletes in all sports. I know they have some basic instructions in the box, but they also have a website with videos showing people how to use it.

Also, not sure what "B******" is, but .. meh. Some people actually like to use a color that matches their school colors on occasion.

  12. Anyone else see this on ESPN today? A lot of Husker targets participated as most of you know. It was kind of nice to see Johnny Stanton in action a little bit. After watching, I'm glad we didn't get DeVante Kincaid. Not sure why exactly, maybe his personality, but didn't seem like the kind of guy we needed. Hard to believe that Stanton had a legit shot at MVP of the camp after the 1st 2 sets of rankings.
