Anybody think the UCLA game was a turning point.
I agree but you know by Monday we'll still be calling for somebody's head lol
-
I love seeing the Emory Henry formation in there +1 Tim Beck
-
Keep the starters in, I feel angry today, we need something like this to get us fired up going in to Big 10 play. Haters gonna hate I don't care what you say.
Agreed
-
Heck no let Rex get 400 yrds and 7 TDs so he can win the Heisman. Go ahead and pound these guys so they want to pound the good teams like Wis, OSU, Mich, Mich St, and we don't have any give up.

I'm surprised I haven't seen anybody say anything about the D-linemen lining up right on the line of scrimmage. I guess we're too busy complaining that were blowing somebody out. Just be happy, some of us were too young to watch or care about the run of the 90's.

Tuesday may be on the optimistic side.
No because Idaho State is terrible blah blah blah lol Either way we look impressive and didn't look past this game, if we play like this week to week we'll be fine.

13. 3/4 of the Husker Board population still thinks they know more about coaching than our staff
When Clownahan was here, that statement was true
True not hard when your head coach is rubbing carmex on his lips every five seconds trying to figure out if he has herpes or not, the offensive coordinator is sitting in a booth doing a coloring book, and the defensive coordinator is in the bathroom calling a number for a "good time"
Yea took that one a little too far lol

Most people's arguments are that it didn't show class. Well I say that's a load of crap if giving up is losing with class. You never know what can happen, look at the music city miracle (I don't want to start an argument over whether or not it was a forward lateral or not). Yes it's five seconds, but who cares we complain if football players quit on a play or something because they don't play to the whistle and now we complain because a team tries to play until the final whistle?

Yeah, Beth Mowins needs to stick to calling womens sporting events...just saying. I watched the majority of the game on "mute", just like last week.
You know, i have to admit, when i heard Beth talking, i thought it was a guy who hadn't hit puberty yet.
I was thinking Reba lol

Reminds me of an old quote "stats are like bikinis, they show a lot, but still hide some vital information" We've seen this before it takes some time for the defense to gell because in our system the players rely on each other so much. That's a lot of why Bo chooses experienced upper classmen over younger guys, but they did adjust and came out strong last week and I think JP and the defensive staff will find the right formula. We do have a good team whether or not some people want to believe it or not. Not a national championship caliber team, but a good team. There isn't another game on the schedule that we can't win. I see Ohio State being the toughest and the Michigan teams will be interesting but I think out of those three we can easily win two and maybe come together and win out. Time will tell.

Here at Iowa State we use our ISU cards and do the same type of deal, but you can print off a copy of your ticket to use or sell or whatever. It's free unless you have to print at the library and have used all of your printer usage I would hope UNL would do the same sort of thing. Also just because I'm here I got season tickets for the Cyclones and I don't ever want to go back to Jack Trice, very bad sportsmanship, not loud at all (even the student section), and just not a fun atmosphere. It sure makes me miss Memorial Stadium, hopefully I get there later this year.

I thought it was a soild defensive effort. Considering so many people were thinking this was going to be 2007 vs. Ball State all over again and ASU had averaged over 500 yrds a game I don't think we need to complain. I understand where some people are coming from saying JP should attack more, but with that type of offense it's a very risk/reward type thing. You get too crazy and all of a sudden they have a play maker in space. Just one play to think about is the double pass, if PJ Smith doesn't stay home and contain all of a sudden ASU would have had a TD and people would be calling for JP's head...

Last week we wanted his head on a steak. Now he should be head coach? OMG.

What now everybody is happy and Beck is a genius even though he didn't keep running it?
Yes troll...that's what 'everybody' just said. Leave.
I'm not a troll I was just saying because everybody was bashing him like crazy the last drive.

Finally a post that isn't a bunch of people grabbing their torches and pitchforks to get Bo out of town and how Husker football is ending as we know it!!!!!!!! It's almost like a bunch of televangelists or people from the Westboro Baptist Church going off that Bo Pelini is the devil!!!!!!!!! Also for my two cents worth I've never had Chick Fil A or Raising Canes, but the Rasing Canes picture looked delicious.

I can't tell you for sure, but I went on the Huskers site and found something that may be able to help you out. It says to email: mlozano@huskers.com to get an appearence. I realize you're not trying to actually get an appearence but if you ask I'm sure they can tell you where Herbie and Lil Red will be before the game. Good luck I hope it all works out for you!

Now I don't agree with never, but it will be a little while longer. About recruits, yes it's hard to get 5 star guys here even if we do get on a run and I'm sorry we aren't going to pull in a big time coach to change that. People are mad with Bo's recruiting and that these guys are now his recruits so we should be good. We need to remember he was trying to recruit off a 5-7 record left from the coach who shall remain nameless, but also just one 8-4 seasons wasn't going to bring talent running into Lincoln. What we have done is show we can win consistently and go 9-3, 8-4, 10-2. We have gotten better talent look at last year Kenny Bell as a freshman lead the team with catching, Ameer will be a star in his time, and we've heard about the defensive guys that hopefully we are going to see more of. I'm glad Bo has stepped back after Saturday and wants to reassess the defense and who we have on the field. He believes in the 2 gap system and yes he's kind of stubborn about making it work, but he's realized the problem and him and JT says it will be fixed. I believe they'll find a way to be sucessful.
