It has been confirmed that Navy HC Ken Niumatalolo is meeting with BYU early this coming week. Something to keep an eye out for.

I sure hope it is. I am skeptical since MR has a history of big upsets but still laying an egg overall. I'm not worried about that right now though, let's enjoy this for a little while and hope the teams shows the same passion and intensity the rest of the season!

It is completely unacceptable that we had 77 rushing yards last week.

He's really showing a commitment to get better with that insight. Is, "sh#t happens", the new, "we didn't execute"?

Credit Imani Cross for still playing hard.

Gonna be the Ryker Fyfe show.
Armstrong watched Thursday's practice in sweats and a walking boot on right foot. Riley says he's out.
My sources have confirmed this.
They also added that Tommy's leg has come completely off

Running Newby inside is the dumbest.
Except running Cross to the outside, unfortunately both of these things happen.

I would go ahead and take them. I've sat as low as row 14 and all the way up in the penthouse at row 98 in the endzones and have never been disappointed.
-
Nice run by Cross.

Third and two, I can't wait to see this play call
Actually a pretty good call and a better decision by Armstrong... a nice surprise.

Just need to keep running it here. Worry about passing when they commit 9 to the box.
-
Do we call that the Janorooski?

Going up 14-7 would have really got the team on a roll but now Minny gets to go back on offense with the momentum. Over the past 5 years we have had so many drives start in good position only to get 0 points.

seasons not over
Count I think you forgot thisCallahan and cosgrove could come back and win 9 games a year in this f'ing conference. Were not gonna drop off if thats what youre afraid of. Regardless who it is.
Kneejerk overreactions set you up to look like a fool.
Thats all ill say.
No overreaction here, just trying to be an internet funny guy. We may or may not be done it's really hard to judge at this point, time will tell.

Don't we already have 100 threads like this?
Yep

I think Jano will be in a similar situation as Burkhead and Helu. There's just not a huge need for FBs or RBs in todays NFL but good football players will end up on a roster somewhere and make it onto the field. There's a lot of guys in front of Rex on the depth chart but he was able to get on the field at WR because of injuries last year and he's getting some more playing time this year because of that. Helu was solid in D.C. and it's the same story in Oakland as last week he had 5 carries for 22 yards last week plus a receiving TD. Unfortunately neither guy will light up the stats chart but they are finding ways to contribute and I'm happy for them.

that Veronica Vaughn is one fine piece of ace.I used to stop and see my 4th grade teacher, even years after I graduated. She was one special teacher. Only a few like her come around. Does that count?
I know from experience dude. If you know what I mean.

I think that Newby and Cross can both be successful if they are used correctly. To do that Riley and Langsdorf might have to go outside their comfort zone a little bit. We saw during the USA game that Newby can be very good in space, but against better competition there aren't always all those wide alleys when you run a lot of zone and stretch plays. I would like to see them try Newby on the jet sweep, I know that Moore has done a great job and DPE is going to be 100% soon, but it would give Newby a chance to get to the edge quick which is his strength IMO. I think he would also be successful with the swing pass motion like UCLA does. If he can get matched up with a linebacker and can catch the ball and go instead of hesitating that can be dangerous. As for Cross I don't know why the old staff and the current staff call stretch plays when he is in the game. He should be in there in short yardage situations but can also come in on first and 10 if they call an iso or just something that gets him North and South instead of running to the outside. Wilbon and Ozigbo seem to be the most complete backs for running the ball thus far. If they struggle with catching and pass protect that's fine but they definitely deserve some playing time. There's a lot of talent at the RB position so they might as well try to find a way to use these guys even if it requires a lot of rotation.

Pretty much sums up the season

It's a real shame that we played our best baseball when it didn't matter.

This is where I have for the last few years questioned those who claim talent is not the issue at Nebraska. When we have faced a good fast player, they can win the game by themselves. USC has talent, speed, and OH by the way, a QB coach.
Talent is an issue. Across the board. No speed. Pierson is fast, but Adoree fast.
No their offensive coordinator is their QB coach as well.

Tons of holding going on with Gregory
Yea he just got bear hugged but surprise, surprise no flag.

Nice heads up by Tommy to take the timeout and save a penalty
